Memaid with amnesia found in Fresno, CA

Uhhhh, for real? 

Kind of. Fresno police stumbled upon a nearly naked woman wandering down the road. Upon questioning her she can't remember who she is and only knows she "came from the lake". 

“She was wet, she said she had been in the lake, said she needed help and needed to be taken to the hospital.”

Police in Fresno, California, are asking for the public’s help identifying a young woman found soaking wet and wandering in the street early Tuesday.

The woman, who officers estimated is between 16 and 30, said she was a mermaid named Joanna, but was unable to answer questions, according to a news release from the police department. She was found near the Eagle Springs Golf and Country Club in Friant.

Turns out not only does she claim to be a mermaid...but she even has webbed feet. Caught in transition maybe? Or did King Tritan finally grant his little princess legs to stop living "under the sea". 

A police flyer describes her as 5 feet 4, about 150 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. The flyer notes she has “webbed toes on both feet.”

Ok, that was a bit mean on my part. This woman seriously has an issue that isn't anything to laugh at. But until police can identify her, she's just Jane Doe in their eyes and can't really help her. 

Mermaid Found?!

It's pretty sad and hope I never find myself or a loved one in a similar situation (with amnesia). 

When they continued to ask her questions in hopes of getting clues to her identity, the woman often responded with, “I don’t know.”

The woman was taken to a police station, where officers fingerprinted her and searched through their databases for a match, but they were unable to determine her identity.

found out who she is and where she was from. Fresno County
Sheriff’s Office...'

'...On Wednesday afternoon investigators received a tip and contacted
a relative who lives outside Fresno County, said Tony Botti of the Sheriff’s
Office.

“We have since learned of a possible name and where she lives,”
Botti said, even as he did not yet disclose her identity.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 559-600-3111.'
Or to further assist the Fresno Authorities, bring one of those aquarium treasure
chests that bubble occasionally.

Maybe or just an old Hippie Commune and she was trying to escape sexual abuse.
I don't know, she just has that All Natural nature look.
The hair looks like it's cut with Shears, The Eyebrows aren't Trimmed and she looks like she has a Faint Mustache, I didn't see an ear piercing.
