HAS THE REAL BIGFOOT OR SASQUATCH BEEN FOUND? SCIENTIST SAY YES
#21
Quote:Creatures of a Bigfoot-like appearance are not exclusive to the United States, the Himalayas, and the wilds of South America, Russia, and China. Australia is the domain of the huge, apish Yowie.

The Yowie is shorter than their cousins in the U.S. and other countries.  One mentioned in this article is only 5' tall, and has long white hair. These creatures exist all over the world, according to eye witnesses that have come forward.

Below are a few stories shared from Australia.

Quote:Many of the sightings of Yowies occur in and around the vast Blue Mountains that dominate the city of Sydney and what is termed the Sydney Basin. A firsthand report, from February 1842, offers a graphic description of the beasts. It was published, as a letter, in the pages of the Australian and New Zealand Monthly Magazine:

“This being they describe as resembling a man of nearly the same height, with long white hair hanging down from the head over the features, the arms as extraordinarily long, furnished at the extremities with great talons, and the feet turned backwards, so that, on flying from man, the imprint of the foot appears as if the being had traveled in the opposite direction. Altogether, they describe it as a hideous monster of an unearthly character and ape-like appearance.”

[Image: 450px-Yowie-statue-Kilcoy-Queensland.jpg]

Then, on December 9, 1882, a firsthand account surfaced from a Mr. H.J. McHooey, who told the Australian Town and Country Journal newspaper the following: “A few days ago I saw one of these strange creatures. I should think that if it were standing upright it would be nearly five feet high. It was tailless and covered with very long black hair, which was of a dirty red or snuff-color about the throat and breast. Its eyes, which were small and restless, were partly hidden by matted hair that covered its head. I threw a stone at the animal, whereupon it immediately rushed off.”

And, make no mistake, sightings of the Australian Yowie are not limited to the past. In early 1993, a man named Neil Frost, who lived in the Blue Mountains area, encountered in the shadows of his backyard an animal that Frost estimated weighed close to 300 pounds, walked on two legs, and had a thick coat of hair and bright red eyes. When the beast realized it had been spotted, it shot away at high speed and into the shadows. Despite attempts on the part of Frost and a friend, Ian Price, to track down the beast on several occasions, the Yowie skillfully eluded them – just like its American cousin, Bigfoot, so very often does, too.

Bringing matters even further up to date, midway through June 2013, Australia’s Northern Star newspaper reported on a recent encounter. Journalist Jamie Brown wrote: “The latest sighting took place recently just north of Bexhill when a Lismore resident and music videographer spied the classic creature crossing a moonlit Bangalow Road. The witness, who has asked not to be named for fear of reprisal, said he was driving back home from a night of filming at Eltham and had just turned onto the Bangalow Road heading for Lismore when he spied a creature jumping a barbed wire paddock fence before briefly pausing at the edge of the road. Suddenly the beast moved across the two lanes of bitumen, raising his arm to apparently shield its eyes from the bright high beam glare of the approaching car.”

As for the witness, who insisted on anonymity, they commented: “I would have seen it for between 20 and 30 seconds. It was really moving at the time. It leapt the fence no problem. All I can remember was seeing this large black object with a solid build, lanky legs and long lanky arms. It wasn’t clothed … it wasn’t wearing clothes like a human.” The Yowie, it seems, lives on.

With colder Winter weather comes Hunting Bigfoot season, at least in Marion, NC, USA.
John and Joneric Bruner have started a FB Group where people can unite to tell their stories of personal experiences.  It already has over 8,000 members across 26 different countries, including Nigeria, Ireland, New Zealand, Japan, Italy and more.

Sounds exciting!  I might have to join and see if anyone has had an experience similar to mine.  I've only came across one other person who said they saw it cloaking itself.

Quote:MARION, N.C. -- Most identify the oncoming winter season with cold weather, the holidays and the start of a new year. But that's not the case for John and Joneric Bruner. As frost begins to coat North Carolina's Great Smoky Mountains, they're hoping to prove the existence of a long lived tale.

"I wanted to create something where folks could come and tell their stories without being ridiculed or doubted," John said. "Up to five years ago you didn't talk about this in public and I think there's a lot more sightings out there that haven't been reported because people are afraid to report them."

Well, you all know I'm not afraid to tell my experience. Let people think what they will; the truth is the truth.

Quote:The sightings John's referring to are of the mysterious phenomenon of Bigfoot. But the creature isn't so mysterious to John...
"We had a 'Class A' sighting on August 5, 2017 in McDowell County," John said. "It's an actual sighting of the creature."
John says he experienced a moment with the creature he has passionately researched for the past 30 years while on an expedition in McDowell County at night.

"We put glow sticks in trees," John said. "I was standing on a far service road watching about six glow sticks on both sides of the road and one of the glow sticks went out of sight and I turned my head lamp on which is a 10,000 lemer headlamp and it was crossing the road."
John said he immediately took off to follow the creature, simultaneously sending a radio message to his team telling them to check the trees around the area as some theories claim it climbs.

"I scanned to the right and about 30 yards away from me it was standing beside a tree," John said. "We made eye contact for five to eight seconds and then it just turned and walked off on the hill."

After three decades of searching, John was ecstatic and immediately called his son Joneric who was off on a business trip. Joneric deems himself the "skeptic" of the group and told his father to write down everything he had experienced.

"When we measured after the fact it was about nine feet tall, it had long stringy hair and it was like matted looking but it had no hair on its face whatsoever, it looked like a piece of leather across its face," John recalled. "Its nose was totally flat on its face almost like you could see up its nostrils. Its eyes were dark and arms really long, they hung below its waist. I didn't smell any smell... a lot of people report smells but I didn't smell anything other than a musty smell."

Following the sighting, John's story went viral. He was interviewed by radio and television shows across the country as well as internationally. But for John, the attention his story gained wasn't for his benefit, but for the benefit of conveying to people that it's okay to address Bigfoot without being ridiculed. The same reason that he started Bigfoot 911.

Nine feet tall!  That must have been the granddaddy of the group!   tinywhat

Quote:"I never doubted myself. I knew they were real. I knew they were real and I knew that if it was meant to be, I would see one," John said.
While Joneric respects his father's passion, like many others, he needs to see the creature to believe. But his skepticism doesn't stop him from trying or from standing behind his father.

"This may seem like a bunch of rednecks in the woods but this is actually planned out and a lot more sophisticated than that," Joneric said. "It typically takes us about two months to plan an expedition. There's a lot of planning."

Joneric uses his skills from serving in the military as a fire support specialist in the group's intricate approach, design and coordinate planning in hunting Bigfoot.

Small groups go out into undisclosed locations to search for Bigfoot. They typically search in the same areas, which many Bigfoot researchers say is most productive. While they keep an eye out for the creature itself, they also notice directional signs and sounds that are unnoticeable to most.

"Trees break off about eight or nine feet above the ground, just folded over," John said. "The theory is this points to something. Other tree structures are just kind of laying in a tee-pee like pattern but they're interwoven."

The group also listens for "wood knocks," a knocking sound that John first heard over 30 years ago when he was playing in the nearby woods of his home. John believes the creatures live in a family group of up to 15 members in a general area. Wood knocks help them communicate with one another.
"The theory is that they will take sticks or rocks and knock on trees with them and it's a form of communication," John said.
As for what the creature actually is?
"A lot of people theorize that it's a descendant of Gigantopithecus, which is an extinct ape. Others think that it's a relative of the Yeti and it crossed the natural land bridge years ago and migrated," John said. "It does have human traits and ape-like traits, but I do believe it's a living, breathing, blood flowing animal. It's not paranormal. It's not connected with aliens or anything like that. It's an animal."
Like so many other wild animals, John believes the creatures do not trust humans and do everything in their power to hide and stay away from them.
"They are excellent at covering themselves in the woods and they have a lot of speed for such a large animal," John said. "If you notice a lot of the pictures that we do have are not taken by people who are researching this... they're taken by people who are on vacation and just happen to see something later when they get home and say, 'Hey, what's that?'"

When John saw Bigfoot, he says he didn't even think about pulling up his camera. He doesn't need photographic evidence to know what he saw. As for people that do? John invites them to join him.

"If they (skeptics) have the least bit of doubt, just get up and get out into the woods and see for yourself. I can't change your mind for you. But if you want to know, go see for yourself."

John knows that eventually there will be photographic and scientific proof of Bigfoot. In the meantime, all he can do is encourage others to share their stories.

"We do what we're trying to do because we want it all to be positive," John said. "If we all work together we're going to eventually get this."

If I were younger, I might just join them.  How exciting!!  tinybiggrin

Hi Mystic,
(I LOVE all things Bigfoot related!)

(I think I might have mentioned this before, but I'm getting old and forgetful! so...)
A wee while ago, I was pondering the mysteries of our world and trying to make sense of all of the myriad of UFO's, ghostly apparitions, time-travellers, Aliens, OOParts, crypto-creatures, Nessie/Bigfoot/Yowie etc and I had one of those "moments"! (LOL - NOT of of THOSE moments!!!!)

I came up with ONE single over-arching theory that could explain..... just about everything on the list above and more!

What if our world is experiencing some sort of damage, interference or distortion within our space-time continuum?
What if there were temporal rifts? Rips in the fabric of time and space itself?

Could we (in the here and now) be witnessing these rips, tears and rifts as little "windows" into events from other times? or places? Other dimensions even?

Could some ghosts be REAL PEOPLE, but from a different time (not actually dead) made visible by a rip in time, giving us a glimpse into the past? (or future).
Could Nessie be a REAL Plesiosaur (or similar) seen on occasion through a hole in time that fleetingly takes us back a million years?
Is Bigfoot simply Gigantopithecus? Real and Alive but thousands of years ago... viewed in glimpses through these rifts in time?
Did the time portal close when you were observing your one? Giving the appearance of "cloaking"?
Are "Flying Saucers" just our own flying vehicles of the future, seen through a forward facing rip in time?
Or are they Alien craft visiting Earth in the future, but seen through a time-portal rift?
OOParts are objects out of place, but have they simply been lost or dropped through one of these rifts?
Are cryptids actually REAL creatures but from a different place or time? Viewed again through one of these windows in time/space?

My jaw fell open when I came up with this.
Pretty much every aspect of the paranormal/supernatural that I thought of could be explained by this one theory!
Ghost cars? yup.
Strange Beasts? yup.
Aliens? yup.

I just need an app that measures temporal distortion fields and I'm IN!

Thoughts?

Interesting link, you do know that the South of Ireland is not part of GB, sort of casts doubt on the reliability of the sightings  tinybighuh
Anyhow an interesting post [Image: thumbsup.png]

Well... I can't state that the owner of the map-site is 'au fait' with the agreed geography of the British Isles
and I'll just assume he/she meant all the bits not connected to mainland Europe!!

Yes, I've even read that might be the case by several others in the past; sorry, you're not the first to come up with the idea.   smallundecided  However, while it might explain some sightings, it doesn't explain deceased loved ones appearing and even having conversations with family members, or people being abducted and taken to alien craft.
I think the rip in time/space does occur in some instances where certain cryptids are seen, and sometimes even "ghosts".

Deceased loved ones? yes, I know - that's why I said "some" ghosts!

Why do you think that the Alien abductions couldn't happen as a result of a rift?
If the alien craft (or the victim) crossed through the rift it's entirely possible, isn't it?
Who knows whether (in the future?) aliens or advanced humans could predict the rifts and actively use them to "time-travel" back to find abductees?

Of course, anything is possible. My mind is wide open.   Personally, I think "aliens" use worm holes to travel from one place to another quickly.  I do believe time-travel happens too, but it's not widely reported because of the ridicule.

We always assume wormholes to be massive events in space, but since the core or centre of a blackhole
is infinitesimal -so to speak, it could be argued that the amount of energy to create a passage through
space-time doesn't have to 'big' in the manner we perceive.

Speaking of time travel, this is a very interesting story I just came across.

Shadow Person Photo taken after Portal Trip to Earth’s Past

Quote:On November 18, JP, a source who has been supplying me with photos of classified antigravity craft in the vicinity of MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, contacted me with an incredible story about being led to and stepping through an invisible portal into the Earth’s past. Then he really caught my attention by producing one piece of noteworthy evidence to support his exceptional encounter.

After exiting the portal, JP says that he took a photo of a strange shadow like person who immediately began following him, which is reproduced below. It clearly shows an entity of some kind. While the photo of the shadow person does not prove JP’s portal travel experience, it is powerful corroborating evidence.

Here’s the full story of JP wrote happened to him when he was walking his dog in the Tampa area of Florida on Saturday.
A person dressed in white came up to me while I was walking my dog. He told me to follow him Into a tree. I can’t believe [it], they use trees as portals. The bark of the tree turned into a watery substance. Once I went through my camera did not work.

JP included a couple of attempted photos of the portal, but they were completely washed out, and revealed nothing, as the following photo shows. When inside the portal, his camera/phone simply didn’t work at all.

JP’s hand in front of the alleged tree portal.

JP continued his incredible story.
He took me to a place with beautiful vegetation. Beautiful place a lot of kids playing, talking a different language. A lot of huge trees, massive, massive trees. Eiffel tower size. I literally felt like an ant. The guy told me this was on Earth couple millions of years ago

He showed me a central tower that changes colors. Beautiful pink and yellow flying birds. My dog also went with me, [he] was totally confused.

But like he understood everything we were saying. Everything communicates as one.
JP gave more details about the telepathic communication network and the technology in use by the beings:
Kids playing on a white sand substance. There was a vehicle that I saw it looked like a car but did not have wheels. A couple flying ships, traditional UFO. I can hear everybody talking like my mind was connected to everybody’s mind.  Hard to concentrate when a lot of voices in your head.  I guess there is a technique to concentrate on one person.

JP went on to next refer to the man in white who had led him through the tree portal. This person shared some information with JP once inside:
He told me that I’ve been there, many times. That I used to  work there. I ask him doing what?
He told me that they hired a outside military agency to help them with the structural part of where they all live… That they connected a lot with me while I was there working… That I was the only one in the group that was there working that has visited different timelines. But me personally I don’t remember. I probably got wiped.

There is much more to the story. Read it in full HERE

As has previously been mentioned in the thread, I've seen one, so I believe they are real. Virtually everything I know about them comes from that one sighting, so it's precious little. I believe they have some sort of intelligence, because I saw intelligence behind it's eyes (and something like recognition - it didn't seem the least bit surprised, and knew exactly where I was hiding) when it looked directly at me.

I know they're big, although I've come to believe it wasn't quite as big as I thought it was back then. I was certain it was 12 feet tall, but over time have convinced myself it had to be shorter than that, maybe 8 feet tall. I know they're quiet, because I distinctly recall wondering how something that big could move through the woods and the brush without making a sound. I was no slouch in the woods back then, but I doubt that even I could have moved that quietly, even though I was a lot smaller than the critter.

I know they're curious, because when it came out of the woods, it went to a hickory sapling I had leaning against the eave of the house to season for a bowstave, and it pulled the sapling away from the house to examine it. Bears and other woods critters in these mountains don't do that. They don't care about leaning saplings.

I know they can move fast, but with legs that long, who wouldn't?

I don't believe they are aliens, I think they are just natural Earth critters, very well tuned in to nature. They can move fast and quiet, so it's no mystery to me how they elude humans. I've eluded humans in the woods, and can't move that fast or quiet. Bigfoot ought, by rights, to be a lot better at it, and it wasn't that hard for me to begin with.

The Shawnee Indians from around that area had a legend of the "Msissisengw", a large hairy humanoid whose funtion was as a "Keeper of the woods", a protector of nature who prevented overhunting and ruination of the habitat. In 1774, when the southern wing of Dunmore's army was marching through what was then a wilderness in that area (on the Great Kanawha river, between Burning Springs and Charleston in what is now WV), heading for the Battle of Point Pleasant, it was recorded in an orderly book that they found an "indian" track that was remarkable because it measured 14 inches long. In Kentucky, when Daniel Boone was exploring that area in the same time frame, and not far away, he told of having encountered a "Yahoo", evidently naming it from the sound it made, which was a giant hairy humanoid as well.

So, they're not anything recently invented, like a Chpacabra is. They have a history and a track record. Something is being seen here, and it's being seen occasionally by folk very familiar with the woods, the flora and the fauna, folk who wouldn't mistake a bear for a Yahoo out of excitement. Bears you can shoot, but I'll be damned if I'd have tried to shoot what I saw. I had a 12 gauge shotgun in hand, and wouldn't even attempt it. I didn't want to take a chance on pissing it off. I was shaking like a dog shitting peach seeds, which also wasn't normal for me at that time.

One other time, a long way from that sighting, all the way down in NC just south of Burlington, I may have encountered another. In July 2011, on my 50th birthday, I decided to walk to work - a distance of 14 miles - just to see if I still could. About 1 AM, halfway to work, I stopped and sat beside the road to take a breather, and while I was sitting there, I hear the oddest sound in the woods. Sounded like someone beating a tree with a 2x4. It was out in the middle of nowhere, no habitations or people around, nothing but woods and that road for miles. I sat and listened to it for a while, and it kept beating, but I had no idea what it was. Being a Friday night, I though maybe some drunk or doped up kids were in the woods partying, and one got the bright idea to beat a tree. The only thing that made me uneasy about that was the fact that I could hear no voices, and it was only 150 yards or so away judging by the sound, slightly downhill of my position, and not a breath of wind stirring. the temperature, even at that time of morning, was around 95 degrees. It was hot, oppressive, and stifling, but I should have heard voices if anyone was speaking there, and partying kids are not well known for their stealth.

It was only later, by several months, that I ever heard of the phenomenon of "wood knocking" attributed to bigfoot. Is that what it was? I don't know, and never will know, as I didn't see anything at all, or hear anything other than the knocking at that point. A couple hours later, and miles away, I DID hear the most bloodcurdling scream I've ever heard in the woods. It came out of a grove of trees in a field beside the road, about 200 yards away. I've heard a lot of stuff in the woods, but never anything like that. It wasn't any sort of critter I've ever heard, and I've heard panthers screaming. I figured it was some kind of bird, a really big one, but never saw anything there, either... and it sure as shit raised the hackles on the back of my neck and caused me to step up the pace.

Dimensional portals? a possibility, I reckon. Are bigfoot using them as if they were tools? I dunno. I seriously doubt it, but can't discount the possibility. If they find one, it's probably just like you or I would - something they stumble into, rather than "call up".

100,000 years ago, in China, there lived a giant ape 10 or 12 feet tall called "Gigantopithecus". Is that what bigfoot is? I dunno. Either a relict population crossing the Bering land bridge and surviving in America OR the odd individual occasionally dropping through a dimensional portal could explain it. What is certain is that creatures fitting the general description of "bigfoot" DID at one time exist on Earth, and that is scientifically proven and recorded in the fossil record. Survival, by one means or another, is not out of the question. Gigantopithecus was apparently scare, too - it's been identified by a few teeth from Chinese caves and I think maybe a jaw bone and a few scrap bone fragments, and that's it.

Something to think on.

This is one subject that I can never tire of and I believe that if I ever saw such a creature, my life would be changed forever.

Most information in regards of Bigfoot tends to come in the form of sightings and the end of an incident always seems to
arrive with the Bigfoot slipping away into the shadows. Sadly, the verbal account of a Bigfoot witness means nothing to
the academic world, even if footprints are offered.

I do believe in this phenomena, even when science shakes it's head and says nothing in all of evolutionary history -in regards
of a large bipedal man-like being roaming the North Americas. But how can such an obstacle be?

The mainstream media (don't panic, I'm not going to use the word 'conspiracy'!)... treats the Sasquatch situation as a joke.
Science is reluctant to view the meagre evidence as a cause to investigate and you can forget any Government reaction.

There are Radio Talk-ins where listeners call in and report encounters with a hairy 'monster' and I would assume that the
local law enforcement will have records of such incidents. Granted, many of the alleged observers may be after attention
or fame, but taken literally, that means anyone... all of them are mistaken, liars and mentally infirm.
Is it really possible that thousands of people are just seeing something that isn't real and society is okay with that?!

If these creatures exist -and like I've said, I believe they do, even if I have never witnessed one, then how is it that they've
elluded a techincally-driven civilisation that can fly, live under the oceans and even out in space?
Leaving the 'woo' to one-side for the moment, this creature lives in the exact same environment as us and that should
be a point in our favour in regards of locating them.

Just like Ninurta, some hunters suggest Bigfoot are curious and will overide the fears that other animals hold in order to
ease their inquisitiveness. Others have advanced that Bigfoot is a ravenous, cunning beast that cautiously perceives
us as prey.

Of course, it can be both, but wouldn't that put it in the same realms as a human? If Bigfoot ruminates, plans and can
maneuver to avoid capture, that would mean it knows how to exploit it's enemies weaknesses without the need to
destroy said-enemy... AND be self-confident in it's actions.

This could mean that the entire species has an agreed social-belief because it furthers a group's survival chances.
This idea is a lot different that just fleeing from danger. Animals that fear man can still be tricked into being caught
because of their lack of perceiving motivation.

We use dogs to lure ducks into nets due to the duck's fearful curiousity, but it doesn't second-guess the overall plan
of trapping them. Fish may see a hook in the bait, but not appreciate that something outside of their environment
wishes them harm.

Bigfoot doesn't get into that situation and it may be because:
The verve to capture one isn't there. Remember, once one is publically caught and takes it's place on the list of
the animal kingdom, the merry-go-round of money-making businesses of this topic is finished!

Agencies are fully aware of these creatures and deem their intelligence to be a handicap towards human society.
It would mess-up religion, social-controlling and even the idea that we may have to share our global power!
Imagine the moral-rights one would have to accept of a 'brother'-like being that cleaves to a different way of living.

Bigfoot doesn't need us. We could be seen as the being we truly are. Destructive, controlling and selfish.
Now how would a psychologist get his/her head around that?!
Our vanity as a species would surely be marred if we found out that another thinking-being ignored us because
of our congenital need to be 'top-dog'...! because it means they may have pondered our failings and by keeping
out of our way, forgiven those foibles.

And would that make them morally-superior than us...? A 'better' humanoid?
.......................

When weighing all these things up, one can see that it's easier to say 'Bigfoot doesn't exist' than walk into the
woods with open arms. Because if we did, we might discover the humanity we tell ourselves we have that makes
us 'top-dog'
