Banners Like There's No Tomorrow!
The Met-Office's website told me confidently that my area of the country would
avoid the rain and looking at the downpour outside, I felt disappointed that in my
lifetime, we hadn't really progressed.

With a bright sunny Autumn morning surrounding Boy In A Dress as he crouched on
the roof of the mother-in-law's shed and banged some felt-nails in for any oncoming
weather, Saucy Stan and Salad-Fingers Fred looked on as encouraged the top-wobbly
BIAD to swing the hammer faster.

I'm guessing that they both fumbled for loose change in their pockets whilst urging
the Man-Girl with his chore.

Thursday and a touch of frost. Result... sod-all was done!
(But at least Boy In A Dress got his arty-farty skill back!)

I know that there's a difference between what the Gregorian Calendar believes is October
and what Mother Nature sees as the true month that hosts Autumn.

I know this because Boy In A Dress' mood changes and he seems to spend more time
watching the skies. Don't ask me why, he's never told me and I've never asked.

Even as I post BIAD's artwork under a cloud-peeking moon, the Man-Girl nervously
checks the night.

I've noticed a little more haste in Boy In A Dress' pace as he left for the
Discotheque this evening and I guess it's something to do with the month
of October.

The night around his little shed does seem different lately and even for a dyed
-in-the-wool rationalist like myself, I can't help but notice it.
Maybe BIAD's dread of Halloween is still lingering...? we'll see.

It's been one of those grey 'nothing' days today and after our customary mug
of morning coffee, Boy In A Dress and I focused on doing just that. Nothing.

(And to a certain little boy called Leo in France, BIAD says welcome to the world!)

A new week and the same old weather! Boy In A Dress shuffled around the
garden without the same verve he held when the days were drier.

Still, he once commented during a discussion about music that he rather
enjoyed The Four Seasons, so here's his chance to prove it!

Tuesday's dawn was a beautiful rouge colour until I recalled the old Sailor's warning about
red skies. Luckily, I also remembered that I was in the British Isles and it would piss down
anyway.
Phew.

On to the Facebook art.

Well it's been quite a day today, Boy In A Dress took to his usual visit to the
mother-in-law's home and from what I discovered lately, set himself a project
of tilling all the soil of garden.

Of course, being a Wednesday meant that the two old coffin-dodgers from
across the road came over and impeded his travails.

I was called close to noon with a problem there to sort out and arriving, found
the poor Man-Girl performing for Saucy Stan and Salad-Fingers Fred in order to
keep the aged perverts entertained.

The damp earth had hardly been touched and the repairs on the mother-in-law's
shed-window still needs doing. But the one thing that I noticed that really angered
me was that the plastic tassels that hung from an rusty tricycle's handlebars in that
same shed, were missing.

So you can guess what those two old farts had BIAD doing.
(And at the time of typing this, he's still dizzy)

Thursday, all quiet on the Western Front and also Trash-Collection day.

Boy In A Dress promised to strangle me if I ever start marking stuff like that
on a calendar.

If you're reading this then you've made it to the end of the week and well done.
But if you're reading this because Boy In A Dress intrigues you, I say politely that
you may need to seek medical help... it worked for me.

Anyway, enjoy your weekend.

Sadly... sort-of, with No.1 Son visiting today, Boy In A Dress spent most of his time
fawning over him like a puppy that welcomes its owner and failed to create his usual
amount of art.

In regards of the semi-worshipping of my lad, believe me, I have offered my issue a
long-term loan of the Man-Girl on many occasions, but he was always ten-times smarter
than me.

So here's BIAD's single donation for Facebook.

What a miserable day. Even our customary cups of coffee failed to lift Boy In A Dress
and I from the grey-clouded doldrums.

October has really set itself as the month of sighs and gloom, but all I can offer is
BIAD's artwork to counter it. So here it is.
