Banners Like There's No Tomorrow!
Sunday morning.
An exhausted Boy In A Dress handed his artwork over and muttered that they
grabbed second-place last night at the Disco.

He reckoned that Gerald -the channelling medium who likes eye-glitter and a nun's
outfit, was slightly out of sequence in their musical interpretation of the movie
'Big Country'.

BIAD assured me that he'd try better next time and pretending like I gave a sh*t,
I answered that I believed him.

In pleasant weather and beneath the shade of a stunted cherry tree, Boy In A Dress
sang like a morning blackbird as he sat on his home-made stool and created his
artwork today.

BIAD rarely shows his happiness, the craziness he calls 'normal' usually shrouds it.
But not today, apart from him unknowingly giving Mrs. Miggins an eyeful in the
position he sat, the happy soul had a good day.

Crazy bastard.

Anyone ever see Boy In A Dress handling a kite...? It's quite a sight to behold.

Watching BIAD race across a nearby field with the diamond-shaped flyer trying
to escape from his string, I couldn't help-but be reminded how young the Man-Girl's
outlook on life really is.

Unlike the kite that eventually got tangled-up in a low-hanging branch, I was brought
back down to earth when I saw him stretching on his tip-toes to release his trapped toy.

As a dog-walker remarked to me as she passed by, "My word, that's a long tail...
and the kite's is too"

For most of Wednesday, Boy In A Dress and myself spent the sunny day around
the mother-in-law's house digging up bushes she no longer wanted.

Deep roots, sodden soil and exposed bollocks, it seemed the struggle was both
physical and mental.
The mother-in-law was happy when all the shrubbery was gone and commented that
she could now get a good view.

Boy In A Dress is in ecstasy as well as in his shed because I fitted the small porch
of his home with a swanky copper solar lantern. The sun as been beating down
all day and I guess there'll be very little shadows in BIAD's abode tonight.

Here's his sun-kissed Facebook art.

Due to my illness this week I am just now finding time to check out BIAD's artwork from last Sunday forward.

Very cool, especially the ones of me.   tinybiggrin

Another hot sunny day and another day of Boy In A Dress having a reason to
ignore pleadings to wear underpants. To be fair to BIAD, he kept his displaying
down to a minimum and when I rewarded his gardening with a pint of beer at
a local tavern, he kept his knees closed and sat quietly.

Actually, he had more than one flagon of mead and is now, as the warm evening
approaches, he's singing to some grape hyacinth near his shed.

Another hot one, so I presume the UK is using 2018 & 19's summer weather
in the off-chance the European Union want that too.

Boy In A Dress painted his shed and garden borders in it's usual Forest Green
and now he's sat on his stoop soaking in the sun.
I don't know for sure, but I think the bouffant-haired divorcee neighbour will also
be wanting her planks brushing soon.

A quiet Sunday once more with Boy In A Dress complaining that his semi-sun stroke
from Saturday may have had an effect on his placing in last night's Disco competition.

I nodded in the right places and after handing him his morning coffee, I also handed him
his freshly-cleaned paint brush. There are my parts of the garden to stain too.

A very breezy Monday that brought Boy In A Dress' short hem into play and
a van of passing builders thought it was a fine way to start a working week.

Of course, that was before he turned around from pruning a bush and allowing
his full... his full being, to be shown in plain view.

I reckon there were trembling trowels being used somewhere today.

Well that was a short Summer...! It rained all day and as I look out of the window
at the early evening, it looks like it'll be here through the night too.

Boy In A Dress washed his feet in my water barrel and then sat on a wet picnic
chair letting the rain darken his red dress. There's a flickering candle in shed window
right now, so I guess he's sat quietly drying from the downpour.

Who needs drugs?!

It was another quiet one today, Boy In A Dress spent most of time around the
mother-in-law's and I'm sure, being well-fed.

So I'll meekly insert his Facebook art and hope he brings me a spare chocolate
muffin.

But I doubt it.

Every so often, Boy In A Dress worries about Mystic Wanderer and the only
way he can rid himself of the concern is to create some artwork that might
make her smile.

So he did.

Friday was quiet and the main reason was that Boy In A Dress spent the day
over at Mrs. Miggins' house again.

The elderly lady wanted all her old pots and pans removed from the high shelves
of her kitchen and BIAD-being-BIAD, was only too eager to assist with the hopes
of a free meal.

I dare say he earned the dinner with the views he offered the old bat when he was
balancing on a stool and showing his own set of non-stick cookware.

Off he goes to his Discotheque with his strangely-shaped chums. Boy In a Dress has
left his artwork on his way out on this chilly Saturday evening and deserves his time
on the pulsing dance-floor.

I learned another name of one of BIAD's friends purely because I overheard it.
It's the skinny youngster with the oversized yellow polo-neck jumper. He's usually
quiet and tends to keep to the rear of the weird crowd.

Thin as a twig and they call him 'Chunky' *shakes head*

With a smug look of pride on Boy In A Dress' face from Guohua's compliment,
he sauntered from his shed with his artwork in one hand and the other awaiting
his Sunday morning mug of coffee.

"Who's a clever fellow now?" BIAD murmured snobbishly and handed over his
doings. I traded with him and passed over his steaming brew.

Closing the conservatory door I replied "I am because I know what I dangled
in your coffee this fine morn"

Damn these chilly days and May is just on the cusp.
Boy In A Dress showed his own evidence of the cold wind from the north
when he visited with his artwork this morning.

I've used the expression 'chapel hat-pegs' before and BIAD's swollen chest
convinced me to use it again. But I digress.

I've commissioned Boy In A Dress to write up some of the English folklore that
he knows and when pressed, he admitted that he'd been actually involved in
some of them.

BIAD told me that he'd saved a fairy from being eaten by a badger once and
also the time he'd had his ass grabbed by a amorous Gnome.

True or not, I informed him to miss those anecdotes out of his essay.

A quiet windy Wednesday with Boy In A Dress once again attempting to 'Elon Musk' his
home-made kite in the field near our house. The dog that grabbed the kite's tail and
then let go when it flew over the river is -I've been assured by it's owner, concious again.

The wound to the jogger's head has stopped bleeding and personally, the episode where
the kite flew into a bathroom window and lodged itself in a sensitive part of the anatomy
of the man climbing out of the bath, well I'm glad it's over.

BIAD is now sat on the stoop of his small shed twiddling with the string, the only part left
of his terrible toy. Here's his Facebook art.
