Banners Like There's No Tomorrow!
Even though it's only the second day of the new year, Boy In A Dress and I spent
the morning putting the Christmas decorations back in the attic.

I won't -once again, describe the visuals of BIAD straddle across the attic entrance
awaiting boxes and the remains of unused wrapping paper. But it can be unnerving.

Still... the baubles are up there for another year.

Boy In A Dress spent the morning doing housework around my mother-in-law's home
in his concerted effort to fulfil his new year's resolution.

I had only just found out that BIAD has made inward promises to better himself and
even though he hasn't told me all of them, I have my fingers crossed that one of them
involves wearing underpants.

Here's his banners.

It's just so unfair. If I'd been a student, I'd have asked for the sun to be brought here and
blamed Trump for the discrimination.

Although, I can see a faint glow in the sky, so the sun is just probably set on 'Low' because
of EU regulations.

Dank is the 'Friday word' here, damp and dark.

Mrs. Miggins' curtains were drawn early and I think the bouffant-haired divorcee
is in Spain getting  her tan topped-up, so Boy In A Dress is at a bit of a loose-end.

Whether his Discotheque is open on Saturday night or not, BIAD hasn't said, but
I hope it is to cheer him up. Damn-you dank.

I understand that some... from Arizona -particularly, may have no idea what sleet is,
but that was the stuff Boy In A Dress and his weird friends set-out in on their way to
the Discotheque.

The thing is, when it's cold like that... 'things' stick out and my concern is that BIAD may
embarrass himself when he arrives at his goal.

I suppose, if he had a coat, then he'd have somewhere to hang it on.

@BIAD  I've seen sleet, China has, Sleet, Snow and Ice.
Or when we travel North to Flagstaff, Az. or North East to Pinetop, Az. yes we have Snow and some times Sleet.

Does it Snow in Phoenix,,,, YES, and not because of Climate Change or Global Warming, unless there was Man Made Global Warming in the 1930's!!!
Quote:The most snow Phoenix has ever seen was 1 inch on Jan. 20, 1933, and then again in January of 1937.

In 1937, about an inch fell in areas of downtown Phoenix and several inches fell in areas that were then undeveloped areas of the Valley.

As you can imagine, it didn't last for very long or accumulate much. But reports during the event stated the snow remained for a couple of days in shaded areas.

Quote:We can see better snowfall in the foothills and over the Superstition Mountains that sit at about 5,000 feet.

Quote:The most recent significant snow was in 1998. In December of that year, .22 inch of snow fell on the northwestern half of the Valley, according to the National Weather Service office in Phoenix.

So we don't see it often, but if you are really, really lucky, you could see a white Christmas in Phoenix!

But in 2013,,,,,,,,

They didn't call it Snow. We both were at Bartlett Lake that week.

And now Boy In A Dress is sat in his shed looking confused!!!

No -I know Arizona can struggle with snow that the UK has never seen and wouldn't
be able to deal with... It was just pure envy of your current temperatures!!

Anyway, roll-on Spring and here's BIAD's banners.

By the way isn't time we made you a new avatar?

Explanation: Please take your time as I find it best when people are not pressured to be suddenly creative and the mental juices have had time to be stirred into formative action.

Personal Disclosure: Sure it is after xmass already and new years has passed so it is definate time for an avatar change. If you would be so kind as to masterfully generate me one based on Jake Blues from the Blues Brothers movie [any screen grab of him will do and I leave that up to your artistic inclinations... surprise me ok please] and it must contain the words .. "Can you see the light?" OR something that Jake says during the movie ok ...examples are ." The band Elwood! The Band!" .... "Its Not My Fault I Swear To God!" etc. and even lyrics form the movies songs can be used in a pinch! ... examples "Bend over let me see your tail feather!" .... "Everybody needs somebody to love!" etc.

And again take your time .. no rush as I can always default to my original avatar if time becomes a great issue ok.

The small parcel containing Omega's requests lay at my conservatory door
this morning and I noticed the wrapping was crudely done... as if there
could've been more added.

Here is the contents of that package.

In weather that demanded a large hound baying from a boulder on a remote moor
or Basil Rathbone and his loyal scribe scurrying along a London alleyway, Boy In A
Dress and I cleared away rotten foliage from around the garden.

In the damp mist, BIAD worked up a sweat and often mentioned it was keeping
the chill at bay. I agreed until the Man-Girl leaned over the small front-garden fence
to collect a dropped handful of dead leaves and showed me that not all areas escaped
the cold effluvium.

It never leaves you, once you see it.

Another quiet day with Boy In A Dress looking longingly over the bouffant-haired divorcee's

As it turned out 'Big Babs' did arrive at her mother's house and Boy In A Dress
told me in a cheerful tone that she was staying over the weekend.

She's a big girl and it means BIAD won't be bothering me on Saturday morning
after his usual dawn coffee brew!

Off he goes, Boy In A Dress and what looks like the survivors of a madman's experiments.
The Disco is calling and BIAD's entourage will be shaking their booty alongside the Man-Girl
under throbbing lights that might shroud their strange features.

One must believe in a higher power as I now see the wisdom in a Sunday...
It takes me that long to recover from this abnormal sight!
