The Day After....
#1
November fourth and the biggest event in most of our lives will have come and gone. Sure we fully expect the outcome will not be resolved for some days much as Bush-Gore went on nearly two weeks with no clear winner. But We the People, how will we react and behave ?  As we have become accustomed to instant gratification, it will likely seem an inordinate length of time. Angst will run high in the tall grass of confusion. There will be many setting on a time bomb waiting for word. But for all of us, we will have lost a little of ourselves. That thing that once used to make us a Great Nation above all the rest.... Determination and  resolve and our propensity to display charity to one another.

All the while outside influences and parties trying to sew division, rebelion and push forth hatred. The purest of evil.

How will we ever heal this nation, and from where will the valued and much needed patriotism come?

The  future course of our children will be expressed every four years.
Have we learned anything with this years problems ? How change forced upon us can remain and  become commonplace. Perhaps those Statues and Monuments were there to remind us what we could rise to, or descend to...2,020 years ago we suffered another great divission, remember how it played out.

We are still, and will continue to be, a great nation above all the rest because Trump is going to win. There might be some cheating in a few democrat-held areas, but I think the votes are going to be so huge for Trump that it will be impossible for the other side to use fake votes to overcome him. There won't be enough registered voters left to claim Biden the winner without showing fraud.

I think for the most part, people are good. It's only the groups they show on t.v. that makes us believe our entire country is like them; they're not.
Stop watching fake news and get out away from all that craziness and you'll see that the MAJORITY of humanity are still the same descent, caring human beings we always were.

It might take a few years to undo the indoctrination our youth were taught in college, but President Trump is stopping that, so a better generation is just a few years behind these brainwashed fools we see marching in the streets for money when they don't even realize the damage they are doing. If you ask them why they're marching, most don't even know, they just want to be a part of "something".

One of the issues with last four years is that many don't grasp we are in the grip of powerful change.

I don't refer here to political personalities.  Society rolls in multi-decade cycles, and about every 50 to 60 years, significant changes in public attitudes occur.  The last -big- change was around 1968; and we're gearing up for another big shift very soon.

We can point all the fingers we want to and it won't meaningfully impact this change.  But, as far as being able to adapt to the change and shape certain aspects of it -- we have to be aware it is happening and navigate its tidal forces instead of being swamped by them.

Cheers

I believe Trump will win as well, barring some nefarious sort of voter fraud, but that will just be kicking the can down the road for future generations to have to deal with.

The Socialist forces arrayed against the bastion of freedom that the US used to be are pretty powerful, and they have the long view of history much like Islam. We thought we had them whipped in the late 80's and early 90's, when the Soviet Union and Warsaw Pact nations collapsed, yet here they are right now, rearing their ugly heads in the homeland, apparently alive and well.

They will not stop trying to destroy freedom, ever, as long as they draw breath. A Trump win now will merely drive them back underground, only to pop back out again at some future date, for our children and grand children to have to deal with.. but eventually, someone will HAVE to deal with them, or succumb. They are like rabid dogs. They just keep coming until they are put down.

Eventually, it will be us or them. Both cannot exist simultaneously forever - one side demanding freedom, the other demanding the former's slavery. We will not be enslaved, and they cannot stand for us to be free.

There will eventually have to be a reckoning.

My horse is used to crossing the endless prairies and will not rear up in a field of tall panic grass. I will follow the well trodden trails, enjoy the color and scent of the wildflowers and taste the sweet plums of a successful journey. Even the thorny prickly pear will bear it's fruit for my pleasure as a din of buzzing bees fill my ears and butterflies dance free in the breeze.

What might be reckoned? Trump is not the Messiah of any free man or woman's future.
You'll not find anything in this empty husk of a man. If you seek a message to be translated and adopted, you'll need a messenger worthy of carrying out that message.
Is Biden the answer? No. But this game show host and opportunist will bring no solace either. He's simply not our collective answer.
Righteousness won't be found anywhere in this flawed individual that finds himself without even one altruistic sensibility. He is broken beyond repair. His self absorbed agenda is obvious on every level and it appears as though America may have just had its fill.
Anything else I might add here just adds to partisan hyperbole and is pointless rhetoric, so I won't go on.
A handful of days will culminate in an end to the shitshow that has been 2020 and I hope that America's voice will not be spoiled by those that have an anarchist agenda.
A peaceful transition of power, regardless of whom may win or lose has always been the promise that encompasses our Constitution. My secular prayers are sent out that this promise is honored. The die is cast and only time will tell.

Not from the US, but politics is politics around the world. I'd suggest that Trump merely represents values
that a majority of people believe or have been taught to believe in. The 'Emperor' perception of the current
President is a prank that originates from the idea that someone in that class strata genuinely cares for those
who are lower down on the caste system.

Whether it's true or not, doesn't matter. It's the well-sold concept that aligns with what a large number of
people want, that is the true vote-swinger. Trump is the face of an ideal that's been stifled from any platform
for many years and representing a fickle public has always been seen as the third rail.

You tell them you're going do something for them, but it comes at a cost.
Look on the idea as maintaining a spouse to physically harm. Your partner needs to be there for you to hurt
and that means placating to some things, but deriving pleasure from the knowledge that the rules were always
yours in the first place.

Trump is simply forgoing the standard rules that we've all become accustomed to in politics.

If consuming crack-cocaine and soliciting prostitutes are crimes in parts of the USA -and the Hunter Biden
emails are agreed to be true, do you think Hunter will be imprisoned? The rules of conduct and political
gamesmanship are for the public, not the Elders of the church.

For Thee... Not Me.

Quote:BLM UK gains legal status and renames as Black Liberation Movement UK
Registration enables campaign group to access donations of £1.2m and invite people to join.

'Activists from the Black Lives Matter UK campaign group have placed their organisation on an official footing,
marking it with a change of name. The group, which received £1.2m in donations following widespread protests
in June, has registered as a community benefit society under the name Black Liberation Movement UK.

The registration of the group, hitherto a loose collection of activists, was required before it could receive the donations,
which had been collected via a GoFundMe appeal. The society was registered on 14 September by Adam Elliott
Cooper, an academic, Alexandra Wanjiku Kelbert, a PhD student, and Lisa Robinson, a director of a Nottingham-based
social enterprise.

All have been involved with the UK group since it was established in 2016.

Elliott Cooper confirmed to the Guardian that Black Liberation Movement UK was the group’s new official name, but said
it would continue to organise under the name Black Lives Matter and in collaboration with the wider BLM movement.

“We remain committed and our politics hasn’t changed, and we remain in constant conversation [with] and committed to the
network of Black Lives Matter groups across the world,” he said, adding that the choice had to an extent been forced on
them because different permutations of the Black Lives Matter name had already been registered.

According to a registration document filed with the Financial Conduct Authority, the purpose of the BLM UK community benefit
society is to be a “national campaigning organisation which supports black African and black Caribbean communities in the UK”.

“The society aims to alleviate racial injustice and discrimination specifically amongst the black African and black Caribbean
communities,” the document says. “Black African and Caribbean communities have historically suffered social, economic and
environmental injustice because of their race, and the society aims to challenge and remove the injustices faced by these
communities.”

In a hint at what it intends to do with the money raised, the document says BLM UK will “provide funding in the form of grants
to community groups and campaign organisations” and “organise events and … deliver educational resources and learning
on the issues of racism and discrimination that affect black African and Caribbean communities”.

The organisation had to be registered as a legal entity as a condition of receiving the money from GoFundMe. Elliott Cooper
said the community benefit society structure was chosen for two reasons: “The first is that it’s a legal structure which allows us
to take political positions on political issues, which is of course important, and we would be constrained by a different kind of
legal structure such as that of a charity.

“But it also means that we are compelled to have a democratic structure as well, which I think is important for questions of
accountability and good governance.” The registration followed months of wrangling about the future of the group, with some
activists leaving and people criticising the decision of BLM UK activists to remain out of the limelight, even as donations
continued to build.

With the new legal status, the group is preparing to open up. “Once we have all the legal structures in place, which we’re just
getting to that point now, we’re excited about holding public events in the future and, of course, inviting people to join,” Elliott
Cooper said...'

Yes I do use a host of rhetorical grandiloquent flourishes, but there are  usually no inclusions of hyperbole.  (and I try not to)

Sorry my friends, I had landed in a funk surveying the calamity that might be thrust upon us. And if the Democrats take the Potus, well then they will salute, and the Republicans will display disquietude towards the results. With the Second Amendment being in place, there should be no fear of Revolt and of random destruction in the regional 'unUnited' part of the United States.

Several days later, after the last debate I am somewhat more confident. Tell me if you didn't have similar feelings of solicitude in your thoughts as well... So there you have it.

I can only try to present facts. Done that for a couple of years now, regarding the POTUS and these elections. If my ramblings online have made ONE American undecided voter to decide to vote for Trump, then my mission has been a success.

In other words, not the Russian collusion. A Finnish one-man collusion going on here.

I take my position seriously and try to be and show impartiality. I hope my small opinions reflect an equal amount of neutrality. Here, in the topic of Politics I try very hard to examine the points from either side. And I whole heartedly want to hear, or defend both sides. Our Nation can not be healthy without two or more parties. We are weaker without opposing parties. So don't dismiss me as just  another conservative  _ _ _ _ or _ _ _ _ _, I will stand up and preserve your freedom of expresion as best as I am able. I am but a very small peg in this Destination  ....The   RogueNation.

No, he's not - but nowhere did I say he is. Matter of fact, I don't think I even mentioned Trump in that post. The post was about the danger posed by "The Left", not flowery accolades for Trump.

I cannot vote for Biden. I spent too many years defending from the Marxist likes of him and Kamala to just turn around and surrender now.

I don't expect Trump to  bring me any solace. that's not his job anyhow. What I do trust him to do is to not erode my freedom any more than it is at the moment. He has spent the last 4 years doing just that, and so I can expect him to be himself, and continue that course. The same cannot be seriously said of Biden and Harris. Their track records and platforms speak louder than their campaign speeches ever can.

Seeking after answers in others that can only be found within ourselves is what got us into this mess. So, no Trump is not "the answer", nor is BidenHarris, for damn sure. Their job is not lead us to any salvation, it is to not infringe on us, to stay out of our way while we find our own... but they will not be able to stay out of our way while we are working towards a future.

I cannot vote for someone who has already promised to enslave me.
