I was asked to share some photos from "Mysterious Island" where my wee holiday flat is, so without further ado...

Thanks Mrs G!
Yeah, the boys are getting very BIG! AND doing just Great!

The Beard is just my.... Winter Plumage!!! ROFL
(I'm hoping for a wee Christmas job as a stand in for Santa!!)

Those first 3 pics were taken this weekend!
(The 3rd one - through a special filter (my sunglasses!) to bring out the orange hues.)
The last two were taken earlier, but I really like them.

I LOVE it on the Island and will be heading back down there around the 28th for a few days for the New Year celebrations.

Gorgeous place!

I'm curious about what kind of trees those spiky things are in the last picture.

.
Diogenes was eating bread and lentils for supper. He was seen by the philosopher Aristippus, who lived comfortably by flattering the king.

Said Aristippus, ‘If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.’ Said Diogenes, ‘Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.’

Hey Nin...

They're just known locally as the "Palm Trees", but I think in reality that they are the palm-like Cordyline Australis (Cabbage "palm").

They do make our wee Scottish Island feel rather... "tropical" though!! hehe

Yeah . . . seems like an unusual latitude to see those palms.  Very nice area.

Wow, Wonderful.  Hadn't seen these.  Be a great place for exploration and walks.  Do you do any fishing while you are there?  When I walk around places like that I always carry my telescopic fishing rod and a few lures.

Kind regards,

Bally.

I haven't been fishing there for years mate, but there are good stocks of Mackerel just off the rocks about 1/2mile from my holiday flat.
