They are robots. Short circuits will not cause them to "turn on the wrong people", they will cause them to cease functioning. If they "turn on the wrong people", it will be the result of programming, not malfunctioning.
Just an FYI, but "wrong people" is a subjective term. I think turning them on capitalists would be "turning on the wrong people", but Sandy Cortez has an entirely opposed opinion as to whom "the wrong people" might be to turn robots on...
... and the opinion as to whom "the wrong people" may be is split about half and half among the US population, meaning we are ALL the wrong people as seen from our own perspective, and we are also ALL "legitimate targets" as seen from the opposing perspective.
We are ALL both "the wrong people" AND "legitimate targets" all at the same time.
