A large cordon was put in place around the woods while forensic examination work was carried out.
Police later arrested a 16-year-old boy in connection with the incident and he remains in custody.
Temporary detective inspector Tom Woodward appealed on Tuesday for any witnesses to come forward, or anyone
who may have heard anything suspicious in the area on Sunday morning. He said: "The girl and her family continue to
receive support from specialist officers and we are continuing with our inquiries to establish the exact circumstances
surrounding the incident and provide reassurance in the area."...'
