'Cops have confirmed that a police car was damaged and an officer threatened during the incident,
which they called “completely unacceptable”. A police helicopter was also scrambled to deal with the
teenage thugs, but the officer inside the car at the time was “unable” to pursue.
The taunting video was shared on YouTube by the Hull-based “Lock it or lose it" gang, who openly brag
about terrorising motorists and stealing vehicles on social media.
Detective Chief Inspector Matt Peach said: "We are aware of footage circulating on social media which
shows part of an incident where a person on a moped caused damage to a police car and threatened
the PCSOs inside.
"The PCSO in the car called for back-up as they were unable to pursue the rider safely at that time.
A patrol car quickly arrived along with the NPAS helicopter to offer support.
"Three teenage boys, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have been arrested in connection with
this incident. "They have been released under investigation whilst investigations continue.”
The city of Hull has been terrorised by youths on mopeds in recent weeks.
A 15-year-old was detained and bailed earlier this week after going on a rampage in the city centre on a
stolen bike. He was arrested for dangerous driving, burglary, theft of a motor vehicle, criminal damage,
robbery, and breach of a court order.
On the same day, a 16-year-old was charged with 12 separate offences which all relate to motorbike and
car crime in the city. They include riding a motorbike dangerously, riding while disqualified and with no
insurance, driving a car while disqualified and with no insurance, two counts of burglary, and three breaches
of a Criminal Behaviour Order.
Humberside Police refused to confirm if the incidents are linked or give any further details when contacted
