Scientists Have Created Robots That...
#1
Well, they made a robot a citizen awhile back, so I guess they're getting ready to try to replace the human race in the near future.  Were they just seeing how the public would react to the news that a robot can now become a legal citizen among us?

Might be a good idea to make them even more human-like so we can't tell the difference... which seems to be what they've done.

This one has a rib cage, a flexible spine, and even has the ability to sweat.   tinyhuh

Quote:A team of researchers at the University of Tokyo developed a pair of humanoid robots that can carry out a wide range of life-like activities — such as doing push ups, sit ups, and stretches as well as playing badminton and other complicated motions — in a less mechanical manner compared with most automatons. The robots, called Kengoro and Kenshiro, were designed in such a way that mimics the human body’s muscular and skeletal systems. Kenshiro was developed between 2011 and 2014, while Kengoro was developed from 2015 onward.

“For at least the last two millennia, human beings have endeavored to understand the systems and mechanisms that make up the human body. However, a limitation of conventional humanoids is that they have been designed on the basis of the theories of conventional engineering, mechanics, electronics, and informatics,” lead researcher Yuki Asano told Daily Mail online.

The scientists used aluminum, steel, and plastic as a frame for the humanoid robots. They also designed synthetic joints and ligaments to allow the robots to move. Both Kengoro and Kenshiro feature rib cages and flexible spines. A combination of electrical motors, mechanical parts, wires, and sensors that were carefully linked together made up the robots’ multi-jointed spine and muscles. The robots were also outfitted with an artificial central nervous system that helps maintain balance and stability. High tech processing power was also used to give the robots the ability to act and react independently.

“By contrast, our intent is to design a humanoid based on human systems, including the musculoskeletal structure, sensory nervous system, and methods of information processing in the brain. Our research team has successfully developed musculoskeletal robots. They imitate the human musculoskeletal structure, support the flexible body and behaviors of humans, and support human-style muscle actuation using tendon-driven actuators,” Asano added.

The goal of the so-called Elite (who are in the process of being taken down) is/was to make people immortal by placing a person's consciousness inside a robot that is connected to a main computer that then connects all the minds together... a hive mind.  The body would be super strong and have no way to get sick.  Sounds good, right?

The thing they aren't telling people is that if they agree to do this, the computer has the ability to take over and control the "human robot". If it sees that a person is thinking of something "they" don't agree with, they can change the person's thinking, or even kill them.  No opposition will be allowed. They now have you right where they want you!

Not exactly the kind of world where I want to be immortal.

What some people don't realize is, we are already immortal; no wires connected to a computer is necessary.  When we die we take on what is called a light body, made of pure energy.  We are the ones who have control over our future destination, in my opinion, not some computer.
So, which way sounds best to you?

I got a little side-tracked there, so back to the topic at hand...

Quote:Humanoid robots can sweat during activities, experts say

The scientists added that the robot Kengoro can even produce sweat, largely due in part to a cooling system designed to let water seep through the porous layers of the robot’s frame. This feature enables the water to eventually evaporate and cool the robot’s 180 motors, the research team explained.

To achieve this feat, the experts tweaked the robot’s frame and programmed more functions including liquid transfer, heat release, and support. The aluminum-based frame was printed using a laser that sintered the powered metal. The scientists explained that each bone features a porous honeycomb-like layer that retain water, which was subsequently released when the robot performs strenuous activities and starts to overheat. The water that was released in the inner porous layer of the bones then travels to more porous areas near the frame’s surface where it readily evaporates.

The experts touted that one cup of deionized water can help Kengoro function for half of the day without overheating. Likewise, the research team noted that the robot can perform push-ups for 11 minutes straight. However, the scientists cautioned that Kengoro needs to stay hydrated in order to maintain the cooling system’s function.

“A sponge-like metal material, created using a 3-D printer, is used in part of the skeletal structure. We have designed a cooling system that makes water seep through the material and evaporate. Our sensor data can point to which muscles contribute to specific physical activities. We hope such data can be applied in the fields of medicine or athletics, where insight gained can be utilized for rehabilitation and training,” Asano explained in a The Japan Times article.

Even Elon Musk warns us about artificial intelligence.  I heard from a Qanon source that he is a Patriot, so maybe he's staying close to the 'enemy' to see what they're doing, and keep them from going too far?   minusculethinking

My advice for people is to avoid agreeing to (knowingly) allowing "them" to place any kind of nanobots in your brain, when the time comes.  This is also a method they are trying out now on humans.

AVOID AI FROM BEING INJECTED INTO YOUR BODY AT ALL COSTS!   minusculeninja

Yes, according to some experts, we are breathing in these nanobots everyday, and they are settling in our brain.  Get some good detox items from your favorite alternative medicine store, and get that stuff out of your body before it's too late.

Sounds like bullshit to me.

It's not possible to "implant your consciousness" into a robot. they most they could hope for - and we are a long way from the ability to do so - would be to implant a programmed replica of an individual's consciousness into a machine. A replica, not the person's consciousness itself. The person's consciousness itself is too insubstantial, to undefined, too unpredictable to "implant" anywhere. They'd have better luck trying to catch a fart and paint it green.

So, if they ever get the ability to program replicas of consciousness, the consciousness itself will still do what they have done and and go where they have gone for millennia. Not into any machine.

This part is funnier still to me:

Quote:Our sensor data can point to which muscles contribute to specific physical activities. We hope such data can be applied in the fields of medicine or athletics, where insight gained can be utilized for rehabilitation and training,

Baloney.

In order to build an articulated, self-powered machine, one has to know BEFOREHAND which muscles move what parts, and how to program them to interact to produce a particular "physical activity". Otherwise, you couldn't make the machine move properly. If you already know which muscles move which parts, no amount of "sensor data" is going to give you insight into what you already know.

Don't let 'em snow you - they're just talking shit to try and drum up investments.

.
Diogenes was eating bread and lentils for supper. He was seen by the philosopher Aristippus, who lived comfortably by flattering the king.

Said Aristippus, ‘If you would learn to be subservient to the king you would not have to live on lentils.’ Said Diogenes, ‘Learn to live on lentils and you will not have to be subservient to the king.’

I agree.

Cars have radiators and lubrication. It's just fancy wordplay for a technology that certainly is many-many
years away from being able to function in a human society. We perceive robots as close to humans because
there's a face stuck on the front that we recognise, but that's simply because of our natural tendencies.

As Ninurta points out, mentally urging a set of muscles to perform a task involves such intricacy that to
simulate this via metal joints, artificial muscles and lab-manufactured neural networks, seems doubtful at
this time.

Good ole' Musk! The media like him and it costs very little Journalistic-investigating, his company just
send out the guff and the MSM paint it with click-baiting headlines. But personally, I'm still hesitant on
Elon Musk's agenda.

The idea of human-thinking robots and conscious vehicles driving alongside humans is for distraction
from the real issues. Think legal accountability for a start!

Until something political -that is easily reported happens that favours the mainstream media narrative,
Musk's advertising campaigns will suffice.

yep I agree 100% with this, but only at the moment, things change so fast who know what they can do in 5 years time.
There is a web site called " LifeNaut", its interesting and shows how far things have gone.

Quote:Male sex robot rape: Cyborg makers 'face being arrested over sex attack claims'

Sex robot developers could face arrest and criminal proceedings if women claim their creations
had raped or sexually assaulted them, a leading artificial intelligence expert has said.

'Several leading tech firms, including California-based Realbotix, are making male versions of
their sex robots to meet demand from women across the world.

Companies that develop life-like female androids with big breasts and porn star features have been
accused of perpetuating “rape culture” and objectifying women

But now male sex robots with bulging six-packs and bionic penises “better than vibrators” have entered
the market, new legal and ethical questions have arisen. US firm TrueCompanion has designed a female
sex robot, called “Frigid Farah”, which is programmed to dislike sexual advances and thus simulate rape.

Noel Sharkey, professor of robotics and AI at the University of Sheffield, said male sex robots built with
a rape settings could pose legal risks for programmers.

There is no suggestion of any firm making a male sex robot designed to resist sexual advances or act out
a rape fantasy. But if a woman were to accuse a male sex robot of raping or sexually assaulting her,
the programmer would likely be held responsible in the eyes of the law, Prof Sharkey said.

“A male sex robot, like any robot, has no desires of its own,” he told Daily Star Online.
“These are inanimate devices run by computer programming.
“Thus if a male gendered sex robot were to rape a woman or sexual assault time, the police would need to
hunt down the programmer.”

However, Prof Sharkey said male sex robots are so new, there is “no data yet to show how woman will use them”.
A groundbreaking report by the Foundation for Responsible Robotics (FRR) researched the potential implications
and benefits of sex robots becoming used more widely for various purposes.

In one section of the report, titled “Our Sexual Future With Robots”, the link between female sex robots, sexual assault
and rape is explored by the author. The report, co-authored by Prof Sharkey, cites Canadian lawyer Sinziana Gutiu as
arguing that sex robots are designed to be “mere instruments for the fulfillment of male fantasies”.

The “use of sex robots sexualises rape, violence, sexual harassment” and “eroticises dominance and submission”,
Gutiu said, according to the report. Dr Kathleen Richardson, a robot ethicist at De Montfort University, has gone so
far as to “oppose any efforts to develop” human-like androids that contribute to “gender inequalities”.

Owning and having sex with a humanoid robot that is pliant and submissive is “part of rape culture", she has said.
But Matt McMullen, founder of RealDoll and Realbotix, has disputed ethical complaints levelled at his firm, telling
the Guardian last year: “[A sex robot is] not a someone. She is a machine.”
He added: “I could just as easily ask you if it is ethically dubious to force my toaster to make my toast.”

Matt has repeatedly stated that the main aim of his company is to help the socially isolated find companionship.
“We have equal interest in male and female versions of what we’re doing,” he said.
“I feel it’s important to offer both. We get a lot of people gravitating to the fact that we’ve just made a female robot so far.

“People have accused us of objectifying women, but it’s important that people know that this is more than a sex toy.
“We have a lot of female customers interested in buying male robots as companions to talk to and interact with.”...'
