Spartan Warrior Training - 727Sky - 09-29-2020

Spartan warrior training along with mate selection may not have been the way many have come to believe. Not saying the following video is 100% correct yet it is interesting; at least to me.

Edit to add that it is now believed that Helen of Troy was actually Helen of Sparta before she left for Troy.

I've always admired Spartan culture.  Not so much with the helots, but their simple way of life appeals to me.  Also their laconic way of speaking.  When Philip II of Macedonia sent a message to the Spartan king saying "if I invade Lakonia, you will be destroyed, never to rise again."  The Spartan king sent a single word in reply..."If."  I love that.

Ironically their way of life was also their downfall in the end.
