The "pipe device" in his pocket was a crack pipe. Betts was a crackhead. While they're banning "assault weapons", they should also look into making crack illegal so that it isn't available on the street any more, either... oh, wait... The "anti-anxiety drug" in his system was Xanax. It is a prescription drug, but it's also a street drug, worth about 10 dollars a pill back in the mid-90's. No idea what it's worth on the street now.
Two of the dead were also hit by police fire, not just one. I'm surprised they even admitted the one, and there is no way of knowing which bullets hit first, the police or Betts, when all of them had to hit in a 30 second time span. That's just them blowing smoke up our ass.
Betts tried to rise again twice after he was hit, prompting more gunshots into him. He was hit at lest 24 times like that. If you poured water down his throat, the sumbitch would look like a lawn sprinkler.

Ban Crack or any other Addicting Drug and you just as well close the city down, everyone would be unemployed!
