smallrofl minusculebeercheers smallrofl

Quote:With the passage of the GOP tax bill this week, the Trump administration has scored 81 major achievements in its first year, making good on campaign promises to provide significant tax cuts, boost U.S. energy production, and restore respect to the United States, according to the White House.

And along the way, President Trump even outdid his own expectations and slashed at least 11 major legacy items of former President Barack Obama, including cracking down on the open border, slowing recognition of communist Cuba and effectively killing Obamacare by ending the mandate that everyone have health insurance or face a tax.
They HATE the fact Trump Ended the Mandate about Healthcare,,, Join or Be Taxed!!

Quote:The unofficial list helps to counter the impression in the mainstream media and among congressional Democrats that outside the approval of Supreme Court Neil Gorsuch and passage of the tax reform bill little was done.

GO PRESIDENT TRUMP!   smallgreenbananadancer

RE: Watch the Progressives Heads Explode!!!! - Ninurta - 12-22-2017

Watching liberal heads explode will be the most fun I've had all decade!

That list ought to do it. I don't agree with all the actions taken on it (bombing the Syrian base comes to mind as one I don't agree with), but in general...

GO DONALD!

RE: Watch the Progressives Heads Explode!!!! - Grace - 12-22-2017

It's a good first year!

RE: Watch the Progressives Heads Explode!!!! - BIAD - 12-22-2017

(I mean no disrespect with my comments below, it's just that the obvious statements are being
kept from what should be, standard rhetoric from the mainstream media.)
..................................................

The thing that puzzled me about the election night was that if Hillary had won -and please don't
think about what might have unfolded during her presidency... but that particular evening.

Would those who voted for Trump behaved in the same fashion...? Would there be people
on the their knees praying that whatever they believed in would change reality?

The amount of emotional conviction that came from many was astounding.
Where did it originate from? I mean, we can all cheer for a candidate that we've never met,
but the bawling and outrage was something that caught me on the hop.

I know on the internet that we have expressions like 'Never-Trump' and I can see that certain
people can be paid to scream and weep during an inauguration, but it seemed they had somehow
been possessed by an idea that the systems in-place to maintain continuity would just stand by
and watch the new President press the red button!

Soros, social-bubbles and CNN aside, I would think that after a few months, the true reality would
sink in and those who chose Hillary would eventually cede that heads of administration come and
go, but 'the swamp' would only be effected temporarily.

The scams change, the faces change... but just like dealing with drug-lords, you take one out
and another takes it's place.

I have to smile from a distance when I see the desiccated corpse of the Trump-Russia narrative being
dragged from the closet and rattled half-heartedly.

It can be said at this moment -if we accept the MSM and Democrat officials that spout the 'no smoke
without fire' garbage:
That Putin and Trump colluded in such a subtle manner that -not only the agencies created to keep their
country safe saw nothing to raise eyebrows... but the trail was so-well covered that as of to-date, the
same agencies cannot find any evidence.
It's insulting on many levels.

I can understand the policies of certain news outlets to keep hinting via commentary that something is
afoot and the failing medium is a genuine concern for those who talk and write duplicitous sh*t every day
for exorbitant salaries.

I honestly felt that the manner that the 2016 election was presented on television was in the same as
one of those outlandish 'Reality' shows and for every professional in the media business to be wrong
about the outcome, indicates how much effort they put into it.

It's easy to suggest the Establishment expected Hillary Clinton to win and and I'd wager that was what
the majority of  the mainstream media also believed. But if we grab the 'Russia-Collusion', it means that
nobody... no CIA, NSA, FBI and God-knows-who-else, failed to see the alleged invasion to persuade
everyone that was on the internet to vote for Trump.

It means the voting machines were tampered with, it means that all those in charge of supervising
an important election in the most powerful country in history, were naive simpletons.
(Of course, I don't believe that)

One can only wonder when the question regarding competency of national security will be brought up
at the many hearings. Something else the MSM has avoided approaching.

So, at this moment near the end of 2017, the ratings-game of the media and a unreasonable hatred
for a non-political figure in the White House continues. If the security agencies were as useless as
this same media portray, then I'm just surprised the North Koreans aren't running through the
streets of America!

P.S. I just hope that the same MSM has the decency to send President Trump a Christmas card
and write (in very small letters -no doubt!)... 'Thank You For Keeping Our Jobs Afloat'

Probably, in some quarters, for just a while - like it was when Obama got elected and the Socialists started taking over. Some folks bitched and whined to high Heaven, but it died down pretty quick to a dull, rumbling, grumble for the rest of his presidency. I don't think I would have been among those wailing, gnashing their teeth, and pouring ashes on my head... But only because I mostly expected Hillary to win, too. It sounded like the fix was already in to me. The only reason I got out and voted was to be heard, just a little bit. I expect there were a lot of me's in the voting booths that day. I already had a plan for Hillary to win, and it was the same thing that I was doing leading up to the elections - sitting around my house in the evenings, sharpening knives and loading magazines. We just call that "Wednesday" at our house.

WHAT?

NORTH Koreans runnin' in the streets?

Damned Northerner Yankees at it agin!

Wait fer me, Maw - I gotta git muh hat and muh squirrel rifle, an' I'll be right there!

But yeah, that's got to be insulting to the intel agencies tasked with keeping America safe - to say they fell asleep at the wheel, and a news man had to discover the alleged nefarious plot betwixt Russia and Trump. I dunno for sure, but I'm thinking those particular folks are NOT the sort you'd want to insult and piss off like that...

... but what do I know? I got knives to sharpen and magazines to load!

P.S. -  a liberal acquaintance of mine posted the alleged Intelligence reports on Facebook one day, insinuating that those reports were the smoking guns proving everything. I read them. Closely. Combed through them with a fine toothed comb. They did NOT say anything of the sort that he was insinuating - I could not find a single reference to his claims. Either I don't know how to read an intel report, or he don't. I know which way I'm betting on that, but there again I could be wrong - but ain't no one been tossed in the tank for it yet, and it's been long enough that someone should have, by now, if he read 'em right.

Its called "Confirmation Bias", and its very  dangerous when trying to find the truth. The reason is that so very very often the truth is not what we want it to be.

We just call that "Wednesday" at our house.

Ah yes, the fabled Wednesday evenings, when families gather together and whilst pouring washers, nails
and segs into 'ketridges'... they discuss political leanings and how to approach them.

Discourse is everything and when a traveller passes by that remote house on the mountain, it's always
important to glean the opinion of outsiders to enhance one's own. Although, it's still debatable whether genuine
sentiment can be gleaned from a person watching a 11" MTech Xtreme MX-8054 being sharpened on a whetstone.

What the report had in it was a lot of hedge-words and issue skirting, which is not unusual in that sort of Presidential briefing and policy-setting report. The Russians were mentioned, but in a peripheral way, with a lot of "could haves" and "may haves", and those only in the context of a social media cyber campaign - what would be called here an "advertising campaign" if it were American Liberals doing the same thing. There was nothing at all pointing to any actual collusion between the Trump camp and the Russians. A more down to earth real-world cognate would be if the media suddenly started speculating that I take Russian money for political favors and vacation in a dacha on the Black Sea because I own a Suzuki 4x4 built by the Japanese but patterned after an old Russian battle-wagon design. It was those kind of connections that my opponent was trying to point to as "proof positive" of collusion.

Now, I suppose the confirmation bias could be strong in that one, because the word "Russians" was mentioned in the report, and it's a sort of leap of logic to make the connections, but if one wants to see it bad enough, then the connections can be made, however tenuous and convoluted to get there.

@'Ninurta'

Here is the problem with trying to tie those Russian ads to Trumps win. The highest monetary figures I've been able to find on Russian spending on Twitter and Facebook advertising in connection to the 2016 election is 100,000 on Facebook and 247,000 on Twitter.  (Those are the highest figures, others claim lower monetary amounts )

With Trump and Clinton spending 81 million in Facebook advertising and God only knows how much more on Twitter - how can they say 100,000 worth of Facebook advertising truly caused the democratic party to lose the election. ..

It's so bogus it's unreal... and then when they cry about a 'foreign country' meddling in any capacity with our elections being wrong when speaking of Russia, but are eerily silent on the donations to dems by China and other countries - it screams hypocrisy. ..

Advice for 2018.
What about diversity...? All the mainstream media talk about is that we should be patronising and
feel sorry for those 'who are different'  ...I mean help our fellow-humans.
Remember, being an infidel and capitalist doesn't mean we shouldn't care.

Granted, the upper-classes of Hollywood and the like should be exempt because they're better than
us, but surely we should reach out to the confused and frightened suicide-bombers and see if we can
help them?

As the UK Government have advised us, if one of these angry young men decide to drive a truck into
a unsuspecting crowd, we should: Run, Hide & Tell. ...and if we could relinquish some land for them,
then maybe they would leave us alone and let us live.
That would be nice and cowardness is trending at the moment.

Mr. Putin would appreciate that, but I think an Equality and Diversity Manager would be better than guards.
We could set-up a stall and sell vodka and sturgeon sandwiches for those reacquiring their aircraft and
ask if they have communist pamphlets to help our young in universities.

Personally, I would just strap the jet on top of one of the trucks they'll use to remove the uranium from
Wyoming and eh presto, a money-saving ploy! Jut be aware of telegraph poles.

I must admit, Cuba is problematic. Che and his Boss struggled, but at at least their country's healthcare
managed to reach the level of the UK's level. I've heard there's a machine that can 'see inside a body' and
we're getting one soon. (But I'm with you on the cigars-thing!)

3900 children killed by firearms
