A Little About Grace for the Newcomers!
#1
Hi! My name is Grace and if you don't know me then welcome.

I am a former ATS member who is still in good standing at ATS (I was never banned or anything) but I fully admit I've no idea as to what my login info is anymore... Lol. It's been that long and my life has been through some changes.

My husband and I met on ATS, and we decided to get married - sight unseen - and have been married for 9 years now (approximately). Crazy I know... But it worked beautifully because we really were perfect for one another and still are. Absolutely no regrets. He's an administrator for this site, Rogue Nation 3.

We left ATS because we felt some good friends were unfairly treated, and decided to help with starting up a new site for refugees and people who wanted a comfortable place to be that still had all the best things that we all loved about ATS. That was a long time ago, and we've all been through some changes with the site too.

In my life this last decade I'm a different person in many ways, but I think a better person for everything and all the changes.

I don't like moderating, it's just not for me. But I am an annoying talkative sort with plenty of opinions (still!) Hahaha.

I hope to get to know everyone a little better, and if I get too annoying just say hey! Enough! Hahaha. I'm tough I can take it, but I do have a protective streak in defense of those I love.

I think I'm about 53 y/o now, but I've basically stopped keeping track.. I have tons of life experience though, been to hell and back many times, as I'm sure many of you have too.

It's great to see everyone... Old and new.

Hi Grace!

Thanks for taking the time to do this intro of yourself. I really appreciate the extra mile you guys and gals go around here for the members. That say's a lot.

Sounds like you've lived and learned. I've been refined by the fire, myself, lol, and usually because of myself, haha.

I've been married for 26 years last month, never looked back.

See ya around the Nation!

I find that as I read and consume, I find that profound in nature. Many have done it unawares.

I did not know about you and N. meeting at ATS until a few days ago. Hubs and I also met there but really came to know each other due to a DOS attack  that sent members there (us included) scrambling to find other venues to communicate with each other. That is one of the reasons it made me so happy that during this recent mysterious shut down RN3 welcomed those lost ATSers and gave them a port of calmness in the storm. I made lots of good friends back then, some of them I now count among my closest "real life" friends!

I was banned three times myself, though the last two times were due to sharing the same IP address with my dearly loved little trouble maker! There is one question I was always hesitant to ask you, Grace...

The hikers and ramblers who sometimes trespass on your property, do you know the exact location
that Ninurta buried them? This has nothing to do with my recent acceptance to write the occasional
article on the tribulations of countryside-walkers in Ramblers Monthly, just a curiosity of my own.

Grace thank you for your post. I really like Rogue Nation3 it is a breath of fresh air compared to ATS. I think many of the ATS people who found Rogue Nation3 after ATS went offline are very appreciative and grateful at how welcomed we were to this site and some like myself are settling in here and look forward to interacting on this site. I know I will be more active posting here than ATS. I am a bit intimidated by some of the well done posts at ATS and know I can't match the quality. Of course I do shit post every once in awhile and add something if I can. By and large I tend to read through ATS rather than post there.  So Grace thank you for your hospitality and you have been extra nice to me at adding to my reputation numbers here. Thanks!

Indeed! My last incarnation was GeauxHomeYoureDrunk, my first was littled16- ergo my name here at RN3 is GeauxHomeLittleD.

Glad to have you aboard! This place is a lot more laid back. Less emphasis on ratings and competition and more focus on learning, teaching and getting to know each other as people and not just characters we play on the internet! We share what interests us rather than competing to be the first to post the latest MSM talking points (although sometimes those things meet in the middle).

Always feel free to share whatever makes your heart happy or even things that make you want to snap a head off! lol

Hi Grace!

Nice to meet you. Like recent others here I stumbled across this place after ATS went dark.

Huh, always wondered how that online thing worked. I met my wife in an airport bar at Honolulu. I lived in Oahu for awhile and she was vacationing from Canada. You'd probably get along with my ex like two peas in a pod. LOL. She's a social butterfly and highly opinionated on just about ANYTHING. When she walks into a room all eyes & ears are on her.  tinycool

Hi Grace! Nice to meet you! Thank you and everyone for the warm welcome.

I met my husband on a game site almost 15 yrs ago! I knew he was right for me. So much so in fact that I moved from the US to the UK to marry him and never looked back  tinybiggrin

Thanks for welcoming us! I joined here when we all thought ATS would be shut back in 2020 and then it never happened.  Glad the site went down so I was forced to find this agian. It is very nice here!

What a lovely way to introduce yourself to us. Sounds like you’ve had everything thrown at you, but you’ve come out the other end and are now content. Excellent.

I am planning to do a proper intro thread about myself at some point, but I have a gruelling research project for the next few days after work, so although I may be logged in, I won’t be here, if you get what I mean. Once that’s over and done with, I can be more sociable.  tinybiggrin

I gave up keeping track too.

Now I just celebrate the anniversary of my 18th birthday.  I recently celebrated something like my 41st Anniversary!

I have to say @"BIAD" I know nothing about any buried hikers and ramblers, such a thing would surely come as a shock to me... But as for any writings of your own, I'm sure you've heard that old mine shafts are excellent places to lose things rather permanently, if anyone had something they might want to lose... of course, I personally wouldn't know of such things, Ninurta being the ray of sunshine he is.
