Question
Full Title: Would you like to see a return to the use of castrated Eunuch's to act as our political officials?

Explanation: Eunuch (court official) [wiki]

[Image: Chevalier_Auguste_de_Henikstein_-_Kislar...igneur.jpg]

Quote:A eunuch ( /ˈjuːnək/; Greek: Ευνούχος) is a person born male most commonly castrated, typically early enough in his life for this change to have major hormonal consequences. (Less commonly, in translations of ancient texts, "eunuch" may refer to a man who is not castrated but who is impotent or celibate.)

Castration was typically carried out on the soon-to-be eunuch without his consent in order that he might perform a specific social function; this was common in many societies. The earliest records for intentional castration to produce eunuchs are from the Sumerian city of Lagash in the 21st century BC.[1][2] Over the millennia since, they have performed a wide variety of functions in many different cultures: courtiers or equivalent domestics, treble singers, religious specialists, government officials, military commanders, and guardians of women or harem servants.

Why they were required to be castrated??? ....

Quote:Etymology and originsThe English word eunuch is from the Greek eune ("bed") and ekhein ("to keep"), effectively "bed keeper".

Eunuchs would probably be servants or slaves who, because of their function, had been castrated, usually in order to make them reliable servants of a royal court where physical access to the ruler could wield great influence. Seemingly lowly domestic functions—such as making the ruler's bed, bathing him, cutting his hair, carrying him in his litter, or even relaying messages—could in theory give a eunuch "the ruler's ear" and impart de facto power on the formally humble but trusted servant. Similar instances are reflected in the humble origins and etymology of many high offices (e.g., chancellor originally denoted a servant guarding the entrance to an official's study). Eunuchs supposedly did not generally have loyalties to the military, the aristocracy, nor to a family of their own (having neither offspring nor in-laws, at the very least), and were thus seen as more trustworthy and less interested in establishing a private 'dynasty'. Because their condition usually lowered their social status, they could also be easily replaced or killed without repercussion. In cultures that had both harems and eunuchs, eunuchs were sometimes used as harem servants (compare the female odalisque) or seraglio guards.[citation needed]

In Latin, the words eunuchus, spado, and castratus were used to denote eunuchs.

I don’t think that would work. Times change, and some things that may have been seen as a good thing back in the day are not so much now. I try to picture what our politicians would be like without their dicks. Interesting to say the least.

Did you mean this ironically, sarcastically or metaphorically? Aren't pretty much all politicians dicks anyway?

Actually, a little bit of all three, LOL! The thought made me smile.

"castrated eunuch" sounds a wee-wee bit redundant to me.

Besides, if that was the case in government, that wonderful old phrase every swinging Richard could no longer be truthfully employed.

As much as I have evil streak when it gets the better of me, I wouldn't do this, they would just find more depraved ways at acting out, probably more sinister!

Lets be honest, Politicians Do not ''serve'', it's there job title only! they are there for the Power, Money and vested interests, and a go between for the Corporate assholes to push there bullshit. In my Country and yours, and everywhere else.

Cutting there Dicks off wouldn't solve a single thing, A Cunt is a Cunt no matter what they have between there legs! and lets be fair, the Women are just as bad, what would we do to them?

What we need is practical solutions, short term limits, REAL punishments and prison time for doing shady shit, No loopholes, no get out of jail free, No lobbying groups paying people off, No Right or Left teams, individual representation, no hiding behind team politics! reviews on spending and where the hell it goes, no playing loose with government contracters inflating prices, crack down on that shit.

Who am I kidding though .... it's 2020, and look at us! Thousands of Years! and we are still our own problem.

So fuck it, do what you can, experience life, live it your best way and stop worrying about the things you can't change! you may not be here tomorrow.

Not advisable.
The history of Constantinople and Peking shows that eunuchs are competitive, manipulative and viciously unscrupulous in their approach to government. Perhaps not being able to have heirs makes them even more ambitious for power and prestige.

That's a horrifying thought... I am a firm believer in orgasms, and don't believe in the mutilation of anyone, for any reason outside of medical necessity.

No, we need to put an end to politics as a career choice. That would solve most of the problems.

My first thought was "No" or at least until I become ruler of the world and have a harem .. The whole ruler of the world thing I would sub out and spend my days and nights with the harem as everyone knows women have the most answers for just about everything. The eunuchs would guard my harem even though I do realize Eunuchs have a tendency to be mean spirited and back stabbing SOBs.  I would rather see politicians who have a pair and are smart enough to defend the constitution and the bill of rights, otherwise off with their heads..not the little head either ! tinywhat
