You know how it works, a quiet Sunday on a quiet leafy street and then...
Quote:Police officer seriously injured in Manchester sword attack.
'A police officer is in hospital with serious injuries after being slashed with a sword. The attack happened at about 13:50 BST in Demesne Road, Whalley Range, Manchester.
Officers were responding to reports of an armed man threatening people, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said. A man, 23, has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article and assaulting a police officer.
GMP said, on arriving at the scene, police tried to engage with a man before one of the officers was slashed with a sword.
The officer's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. A number of streets around Demesne Road are cordoned off while investigations continue...'
Don't worry, the UK is diverse enough that sexual-exploitation gangs are not just restricted to Telford,
Rochdale, Oldham, Nelson, Bradford, Leeds, Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and Rotherham.
No... we allow it anywhere.
I suppose some people collect stamps... the UK collects monsters.
Quote:Oxford men guilty of sexual exploitation 'on a massive scale'.
'Seven men have been found guilty of grooming and sexually abusing teenage girls "on a massive scale" in Oxford. The gang was convicted of more than 20 offences including rape and indecent assault between 1998 and 2005.
Prosecutor Oliver Saxby QC said they carried out the "routine, cynical and predatory sexual exploitation" of vulnerable girls who were groomed with alcohol and drugs. The five victims were aged between 13 and 15 when the offences started. Opening the case at Oxford Crown Court, Mr Saxby said the gang preyed on girls who had a background of problems at home.
'Almost unimaginable cruelty' He said they offered their victims "company, attention, acceptance into the group" as well as "food, parties, alcohol, and sometimes drugs".
Mr Saxby said this was all part of "the grooming process" the gang used in order to carry out "sexual exploitation on a massive scale". He said the girls would be made to have sex at parties, in cars or parks, with other men around, and sometimes after being subjected to threats and violence.
One girl was taken to a B&B in Iffley Road and told to have sex with older men, who one of the defendants described as "uncles", he said. Mr Saxby added: "She says she has lost count of the number of 'uncles' she had sex with... After sex she would sit in the shower and scrub herself."
Verdicts Assad Hussain, 37, of Iffley Road, Oxford, guilty of five counts of rape and two counts of indecent assault, not guilty of one count of indecent assault. Kameer Iqbal, 39, of Dashwood Road, Oxford, guilty of three counts of rape. Khalid Hussain, 38, of Ashhurst Way, Oxford, guilty of rape and indecent assault, not guilty of one count of rape. Kamran Khan, 36, of Northfield Road, Bolton, guilty of indecent assault and false imprisonment, not guilty of rape. Moinul Islam, 41, of Wykeham Crescent, Oxford, guilty of rape, two counts of indecent assault and supplying cannabis, not guilty of false imprisonment. Raheem Ahmed, 40 of Starwort Path, Oxford, guilty of two counts of indecent assault and false imprisonment, not guilty of rape. Alladitta Yousaf, 48, of Bodley Road, Oxford, guilty of indecent assault.
Det Ch Insp Mark Glover said the convictions were only possible because of the "incredible bravery" of the gang's victims. He said: "This group of men subjected them to an almost unimaginable level of cruelty and sexual abuse over a significant period of time.
"To have come through that trauma, and to have been able to help and support us throughout our investigation is a testament to the strength of their characters."
Saboor Abdul, 37, of Oxford Road, Cowley, was found not guilty of rape, and Haji Khan, 37, of Littlegreen Lane, Birmingham, was found not guilty of indecent assault and conspiracy to rape.
Reporting restrictions previously prevented the case being reported, and two other men involved in the trial cannot be named for legal reasons. The men will be sentenced in June...'
Quote:'Gunman takes hostages' at supermarket in France
'A policeman has been shot and a man has taken hostages at a supermarket in south west France, according to reports. France's Interior Ministry said security officials were carrying out an operation at a supermarket in town of Trebes in southern France.
French media reported that the policeman was shot in the town of Carcassonne, while a gunman fired shots during a hostage-taking Friday morning at a supermarket in the town of Trebes 15 minutes' away.
People are being warned to avoid the area as the incident is ongoing...'
The Sun however, report the incident in their own inimitable style...
Quote:'REVENGE FOR SYRIA!' Trebes hostage horror – ‘ISIS’ gunman kills butcher, takes eight hostages and shoot cop in French supermarket The shooter is believed to be holed up in a Super U store in Trèbes, near Carcassonne.
'A GUNMAN yelled "vengeance for Syria" as he shot a policeman in a French town today, disturbing reports claim. The shooter is alleged to have killed a butcher before taking eight hostages at a Super U store in Trèbes, near Carcassonne, in a suspected terror attack.
"A butcher in the U-Supermarket has been shot dead," according an unnamed source in the town. They added: "The gunman was heard shouting slogans about the war in Syria. He says he is representing Islamic State."
‘He pulled out a gun and fired five times, wounding one officer,’ said another source in Trebes who claims to have seen the man carrying grenades. He shot at reserve police officer who were jogging down the street, injuring one, according to the M6 website.
Police are reported to have surrounded the supermarket in southern France. French Interior Ministry said confirmed an operation was underway at the supermarket but gave no further details on reports of a hostage situation.
ISIS is reported to have taken responsibility for the attack but the weakened terror group often does this as a propaganda tool, even when it is not associated with an incident. There are conflicting reports amid the chaos of the shooting, with L'independent claiming two men shot at the cops from inside a car.
It claims one of the Compagnies Républicaines de Sécurité officers was rushed to hospital after taking a bullet in the shoulder.
It comes more than four years after a night of terror in Paris, when ISIS gunmen slaughtered 130 in coordinated attacks across the capital. Earlier this month, French president Emmanuel Macron said "France will strike" if chemical weapons were ever used against civilians in the Syrian civil war.
I love this guy, it smacks of another time when reasonable people were common!

Quote:(Dr. Michael Salla) A February 28 report by the New York Times describes how Barbara Streisand paid $50,000 to have two clones made of her favorite pet dog that passed away last year. The story reveals how open source cloning has been quietly developed in scientific laboratories over the last 20 years, and is opening the door to human cloning becoming a reality in the near future. This is not a surprise given multiple whistleblower claims that human cloning was developed by the 1970’s in highly classified military projects.
I saw the article about Barbara Streisand and her cloned dogs, but didn't save it. This really is huge that it was reported in MSM that humans are ready to be cloned.
Whistle blowers in the SSP and other secret projects say we already have human clones walking around among us, especially high-up political figures.

The New York Times describes how cloning has evolved since “Dolly the Sheep” who was born in 1996. The New York Times tracks how research shifted over years to clone “about two dozen other mammal species, including cattle, deer, horses, rabbits, cats, rats — and yes, dogs.”
The first dog was cloned in 2005 by South Korean researchers at Sooam Biotech. This was followed in 2008 by a California company partnering with the South Koreans which successfully cloned three puppies from a group of five dogs. By 2015, Sooam Biotech, had cloned over 600 dogs according to reports from Business Insider and NPR.
The lead Korean scientist behind the cloning is Hwang Woo Suk, who became infamous for fraudulently claiming he had cloned human embryos in 2004. Despite his fall from scientific grace, no one is doubting that he is successfully cloning dogs. NPR reports that the cloning process is successful in about one in three attempts, and raises many ethical concerns about the number of miscarriages and the sickly pups that are eventually born.
This did not deter Streisand who used either Sooam Biotech or another Texas based company, her publicist did not reply to the New York Times about which one cloned her dog.
The New York Times summarized an interview Streisand gave with Variety Magazine about her two cloned puppies, which suggested she was satisfied with the results:
In her interview with Variety, Ms. Streisand revealed that two of her three Coton de Tulear dogs were clones. Specifically, the magazine reported that the dogs — Miss Violet and Miss Scarlett — had been cloned from cells taken from the mouth and stomach of Ms. Streisand’s late dog Samantha, who was 14 when she died last year.
Six true stories of people sharing their experience of witnessing a Bigfoot. I've only listened to the first three so far, but the description of how it hollered sounds all too familiar. One of the most frightening things I've ever heard!
That's right, Prince Mohammad bin Salman says women no long have to wear the abaya robe or head cover, but says they must dress descent. That's a major step in the right direction. I bet the women are celebrating tonight!
I like this guy. His eyes say he has a good heart, at least better than his predecessors.
Quote:Women in Saudi Arabia need not wear head cover or the black abaya - the full-length robes symbolic of Islamic piety - as long as their attire is "decent and respectful", the kingdom's crown prince has said.
With the ascent to power of young Prince Mohammad bin Salman, the kingdom has seen an expansion in women's rights including a decision to allow women to attend mixed public sporting events and the right to drive cars from this summer.
The changes have been hailed as proof of a new progressive trend towards modernisation in the deeply conservative Muslim kingdom, although the gender-segregated nation continues to be criticised for its continued constraints on women.
"The laws are very clear and stipulated in the laws of sharia: that women wear decent, respectful clothing, like men," Prince Mohammed said in an interview with CBS television aired late yesterday.
"This, however, does not particularly specify a black abaya or a black head cover," he said.
"The decision is entirely left for women to decide what type of decent and respectful attire she chooses to wear," he added.
A senior cleric said last month that women should dress modestly, but this did not necessitate wearing the abaya.
It remains unclear if these statements signal a change in the enforcement of women's dress code in the kingdom.
Saudi Arabia has no written legal code to go with the texts making up sharia, and police and judiciary have long enforced a strict dress code requiring Saudi women to wear abayas, and in many cases to cover their hair and faces.
But the kingdom has witnessed a cautious new climate of social freedoms with the rise of the 32-year-old crown prince to power after decades of elderly rulers.
Saudi women have started wearing more colorful abayas in recent years, the light blues and pinks in stark contrast with the traditional black.
Open abayas over long skirts or jeans are also becoming more common in some parts of the country.
On 8 March, a group of women in the Saudi city of Jeddah marked International Women's Day by exercising one of their newly acquired freedoms: the right to go for a jog, paying no heed to bemused onlookers.
However, activists have blasted the country’s continued guardianship system requiring a male family member to grant permission for a woman to study abroad, travel and other activities.
Last week, a UN rights watchdog called on Saudi Arabia to end discriminatory practices against women including male guardianship, and give them full access to justice.
Now, if he will pass a law, or whatever they call it over there, saying a man will be punished for beating a woman, it would be the icing on the cake.
It is great to see things getting better all over the world.
Quote:Child abuse images hidden in Bitcoin blockchain.
'German researchers have discovered that criminals have embedded objectionable content including links to child abuse images within the Bitcoin blockchain.
Researchers from RWTH Aachen University said that the issue lay with how the blockchain -the indelible distributed ledger that records all Bitcoin transactions -can also record other arbitrary data.
In their paper presented at a conference in Curacao, the team wrote: "Although court rulings do not yet exist, legislative texts from countries such as Germany, the UK, or the US suggest that illegal content such as (child sexual exploitation images) can make the blockchain illegal to possess for all users."
The discovery potentially means that possession of the blockchain -which is necessary to participate in Bitcoin - could be illegal in at least 112 countries.
More than 90% of the arbitrary data stored in the blockchain is of short messages and pictures, researchers found, and other possible objectionable content includes malware and viruses.
Of the 1,600 files analysed, the team discovered "at least eight files with sexual content" -two of which were backups of link lists to images of child sexual exploitation.
The research follows a warning from Interpol in 2015. It is not limited to the Bitcoin blockchain but affects those of other ledgers which allow additional data to be stored, including Ethereum.
Earlier this month, Mark Carney, the governor of the Bank of England, warned Sky News that cryptocurrencies faced a regulatory crackdown, stating that the time had come to "regulate elements of the crypto-asset ecosystem to combat illicit activities".
Mr Carney said: "There are a number of problems with cryptocurrencies. They are small now but they are getting bigger."....'
Quote:High school on lockdown after shooting in Maryland.
'Two students and a gunman are injured after a shooting in a high school in Maryland. Two people and a gunman were injured and a high school was placed into lockdown during a shooting in Maryland.
Great Mills High School confirmed an attack in their school just 8am (12pm GMT) on Tuesday, and said a gunman entered the school and shot two people before being "engaged by the school resource officer". St Mary's County Sheriff's spokesman Julie Yingling said there were no fatalities, and confirmed three people had been shot, one of those confirmed as the gunman.
She did not know how the gunman had been injured, but all three have been taken to hospital. AFP reported all three were in a "critical condition". The school was evacuated, with pupils taken to a nearby school where a reunification centre has been set up.
A St Mary's County Public School spokesman said: "The building is orderly and the Sheriff's Office is conducting an investigation."
Mollie Davis, a student at the school, tweeted: "Hi Twitter. I am in Great Mills HS. My school is on a very real lockdown threat and there's already someone possibly dead. Please pray for us. "You never think it'll be your school and then it is. Great Mills is a wonderful school and somewhere I am proud to go. Why us?" She later added: "I am safe.
The police came to my classroom and saw us to the bathroom and back and said we would be leaving soon." St Mary's County sheriff's office told parents not to go to the school, but to report to nearby Leonardtown High School.
Jonathan Freese, a student at the school, spoke to CNN from inside his Maths classroom. He said the incident happened around 8am (12pm GMT), almost as soon as school had started. He said: "I've heard one person got hurt trying to get the gun. "I'm a little shaken up. I didn't think it would really happen. It happened in the art hallway. "I'm surprised I didn't (hear gunshots).
"Police are checking on students and seeing if they are safe and we are going to be escorted out. We are told to leave our stuff. "The police have responded really quickly."
He said they had completed training for the event of a gunman in school. He said: "I know I'm safe. Everyone responded, I heard sirens within five minutes."...'
