Public Service Announcement:  You're not allowed to talk about it!!

I've been fishing around for 'informed commentary' regarding the arrest and incarceration of Ghislane.  I've cast lines way back and talked to people who 'should' know something ... anything even.  I came home with a boatload of nuthin'.

When you go submarine hunting, the way you spot them is by finding holes in the ocean that shouldn't be there.

Kevin slowed his breathing down, willed his pulse rate to slow as he looked through the gun site at his target 950 meters away.  The rally was taking place in a park that was filled with people from all over the country.  The candidate was due to speak for a  few minutes, shake some hands, then go off to the next rally, three states away.

Kevin calmly waited.

When the target arrived on stage, Kevin slowly pulled the trigger and executed a perfect shot.  While people were still screaming and security running all over, Kevin smoothly dismantled the rifle and put on his robe, put on the slippers that looked like fluffy bunnies and walked back downstairs from the attic.

He quietly reentered the ward and shuffled to the window, looking at the parade of police and emergency vehicles as they raced to the park that was over a half mile away.

Two nurses, looking over charts glanced at Kevin.  One said, "What's his story?"

The other replied, "Oh, that's Kevin.  He came in here a week ago catatonic, doesn't speak, just looks out the window every day.  He's kind of sweet, just quiet."

  Fluffy Bunny Feet [FBF2020]

Brian Vogle knew something was wrong when he went to unlock the office door. As soon as the key touched the lock it creaked open the tiniest bit.

Shit. It's already open. What the hell?

A little voice in the back of his mind was screaming at him to call the police. It started yelling even louder when he opened the door even more and got a whiff of a stench that he tried and failed to convince himself wasn't blood; blood and something else. There was a strange animal odor as well. He turned on the light and saw a trail of red footprints heading deeper into the office, toward a maze of cubicles and beyond. He looked at the floor behind him and saw more footprints in the hall leading up to the door. He didn't know how he'd missed them. Maybe it was because he was digging for his keys. Whatever the reason, there were these big prints heading into the office.

The prints were large, about human sized but didn't at all look human. They looked like animal tracks. He knelt down. His knees popped and broke the silence. He chuckled at himself. The tracks looked like rabbit tracks. They looked like whatever made them was bipedal though. The image of a man-sized bunny came to mind and he chuckled again. The chuckle died in his throat when he heard the soft thump back toward the bathrooms.

The warning yell in his head was screaming even louder now. He really regretted applying for this job. He'd lost his previous job when the company he worked for closed down. He'd had to take a cleaning job to pay the rent. At least it was a managerial position. Still, he had to make sure the buildings were cleaned and locked up and some of these places were creepy. He'd never liked this place. He'd hear strange noises all the time.

Instead of calling the police he found himself going toward the sound. He had to know. What if he called the cops and it turned out to be somebody working late.

What about those red footprints though?

He was in the cubicles now. They stretched on, about shoulder high, in a zigzag pattern. Little aisles cut vertically through them, leading deeper into the cubicles. The prints took a couple zigs and zags and led to the little hallway that had a drinking fountain and the restrooms. He followed them and stood in front of the men's room. The tracks ended at the door. The door had another stain on it where you'd touch it to push the door open. It looked like the front paw of a rabbit.

In his mind, Brian backed away, being as quiet as possible, and exited the office. He pulled his cell phone out of his pocket and called the police. In reality, he pushed the door open, being careful not to touch the red stuff that might or might not be blood. His feet carried him into the men's room and turned him toward the stalls. The urinals were all empty. From this angle he could tell that all but one of the stall doors were open too. He walked to the closed stall and squatted down. Two big fluffy bunny feet were visible. They were white but had big, wet, red splotches all over them. He had a fleeting image of the white rabbit from that Monty Python movie and pushed the door open with his knuckle.

What met his horrified gaze was a man-sized rabbit. It had large, fang-like teeth and he was pretty sure the thing was carnivorous. He was also sure it wasn't a costume. The bloody drool oozing from the teeth was much too real. The blood covered bunny squealed and lunged forward. Brian didn't even have time to scream.

  Don't cry for me Argentina/America
Posted by: 727Sky - 07-03-2020, 11:00 AM - Forum: World History - Replies (6)

Let me start this off by saying if you have never read the account of one Man's family survival in Argentina during their great reset and crash it is worth a read. Many many real life survival tips. http://ferfal.blogspot.com/2008/10/thoug...-2005.html

Also there is this:

Lord help us if this latest batch of socialist democrats ever take power is my opinion.

This is a oldie but still applies IMO.

Quote:FATHER-DAUGHTER TALK
Quote:This is one of the best emails I have received. It gently explains the difference in thinking  between people with
opposite outlooks.

A young woman was about to finish her first year of  college. Like so  many others her age, she considered herself
to be very liberal, and  among other liberal ideals, was very much in favor of higher taxes  to support more government
programs, in other words redistribution of wealth.

She was deeply ashamed that her father was a rather staunch conservative, a feeling she openly  expressed.
Based on the lectures  that she had participated in, and the occasional chat with a professor, she felt that her father
had for years  harbored an evil, selfish desire  to keep what he thought should be his

One day she was challenging her father on his opposition to higher taxes on the rich and the  need for more government
programs.

The self-professed objectivity proclaimed by her professors had to be the truth and she indicated so to her father.
He responded by asking how she was doing in school.

Taken aback, she  answered rather haughtily that she had a 4.0 GPA,  and let him know that it was tough to maintain,
insisting that she  was taking a very difficult course load and was constantly studying, which left her no time to go out
and party like other people she knew.
She didn't even have time for a boyfriend, and didn't really have many college friends because she spent all her time
studying.

Her father listened and then asked, "How is your friend Audrey doing?"

She replied, "Audrey is barely getting by. All she takes are easy classes, she never studies and she barely has a 2.0 GPA.
She is so popular on campus; college for her is a blast.  She's always invited to all the parties and lots of times she doesn't
even show up for classes because she's too hung over."

Her father asked his daughter, "Why don't you go to the Dean's office and ask him to deduct 1.0 off your GPA and give
it to your friend who only has a 2.0. That way you will both have a 3.0 GPA and certainly that would be a fair and equal
distribution of GPA."

The daughter, visibly shocked by her father's suggestion, angrily fired back, "That's a crazy idea, how would that be fair!
I've worked really hard for my grades! I've invested a lot of time, and a lot of hard work! Audrey has done next to nothing
toward her degree.
She played while I worked my tail off!"

The father slowly smiled, winked and said gently, "Welcome to the conservative side of the fence."

If you ever wondered  what side of the fence you sit on, this is a great  test!

If a conservative doesn't like guns, he doesn't buy one. If a liberal doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.

If a conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn't eat meat. If a liberal is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned
for everyone.

If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation. A liberal wonders who is going to take
care of him..

If a conservative doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels. Liberals demand that those they don't like be
shut down.

If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church. A liberal non-believer wants any mention of God and
Jesus silenced.

If a conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it..
A liberal demands that the rest of us pay for his.

If a conservative reads this, he'll forward it so his friends can have a good laugh. A liberal will delete it because he or
she is "offended."

Quote:Tehran (AFP) - Tehran on Thursday reported an "accident" at Natanz nuclear complex in central Iran, saying there were no casualties or radioactive pollution, and warned foes -- especially Israel -- against hostile actions.

There was "no nuclear material (at the damaged warehouse) and no potential of pollution," the spokesman for Iran's Atomic Energy Organisation Behrouz Kamalvandi told state television.
Kamalvandi said no radioactive material or personnel were present at the warehouse within the Natanz site in central Iran, one of the country's main uranium enrichment plants.

Experts Warn : Hand Sanitizer and Fireworks Don't Mix

I don't believe them. I am going to dump half a bottle of hand sanitizer on my hands and light up some fireworks, maybe hold roman candles shooting them at everyone.

Here, someone, hold my beer !

https://www.livescience.com/hand-sanitiz...works.html

Quote:Handling fireworks shortly after applying hand sanitizer, while the alcohol's residue is still on your hands, could increase the risk of a burn injury, Dr. Dhaval Bhavsar, medical director of the University of Kansas Medical System's Burnett Burn Center, told local news outlet KSHB.

Because of this risk, both Vogel and Bhavsar recommended washing hands with soap and water if handling consumer fireworks.

Have You Ever Been Visited by an Angel?
Posted by: Mystic Wanderer - 07-03-2020, 02:05 AM - Forum: Metaphysics and Related Topics - Replies (27)

I would like to hear your experience with angels, if you have one. I know there are many who have had these beings intervene in their lives during crisis, help with one's spiritual growth, and many other reasons.

[Image: ?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.ytimg.com%2Fvi%2FmD6g...f=1&nofb=1]

Here is one experience I will share:

Back in the 1980's my mother got up to go to the bathroom one night around two in the morning. Before going back to bed she looked out the bathroom window, and saw every light in the house on in the home where my sister lived just below her. She wondered what in the world were all the lights doing on at that time of night, knowing they had work/school that morning. She went back to bed, and called my sister the next day to ask what was going on down there?

My sister was silent for a moment, then she told my mother that was the time her husband said he awakened from sleep to see three angelic beings standing at the foot of his bed. He described them as being very tall, with wings, and emitting an almost blinding light.
He said one of them looked at him and pointed to his right (or could have been the left... I don't remember). He said the angel didn't have fingers, but had three appendages. He didn't hear them speak, or receive any telepathic message. They just stood there looking at him, with the one pointing, then they faded away.

He was terrified and woke my sister after they left. She thought he had dreamed the whole thing, but when my mother called her about the house being lit up at that same time, it was validation that it had actually happened because my sister said everyone was in bed at that time with all the lights out. The light from the angels was what my mother had witnessed.

My brother-in-law was affected by this in a negative way for months! He thought they were telling him he was going to die. He went through a type of post-traumatic stress from this experience for over a year.

Several months later, as he was driving to work, he saw one of the angels standing on a bridge as he was about to cross it. Again, he was terrified and thought maybe he was going to go off the bridge, or maybe he was supposed to jump off the bridge. He proceeded across the bridge safely though.

He never did learn what the message was, and he is still alive today.

Do you have a story to share?

  Easy Solution to COVID
Posted by: NightskyeB4Dawn - 07-03-2020, 12:03 AM - Forum: Breaking News - Replies (5)

Go outside.

I wonder why there were no air filtration mandates during the outbreak of Legionnaire's disease. I could be very wrong, but I don't think it is because we know more today than then. I think it is because more people are compliant than would have been at the time.

Cuomo mandates air conditioner filters in NY malls

If just one person is positive for COVID, and is placing the virus into the air, by the time the virus makes it to the a/c filter I am sure numerous people may have been exposed to the virus before it hits the filter. As long as the person is in the building, they are still projecting the virus with each breath, if you believe the logic. So just how much help is the mandated filters, since they do nothing to eliminate the source?

I could be all wrong in how I am processing this, so I will not be offended in the least if you can make me understand this logic.

  Been an interesting day
Posted by: ChiefD - 07-02-2020, 11:18 PM - Forum: Daily Chit Chat - Replies (12)

Today is my 28th wedding anniversary. My hubby is permanently in a nursing home, after having a stroke (his second) in February of this year. His mind is still pretty sharp, but body wise he is weak, in a wheelchair, and needs help with everything. I had a window visit with him earlier, and he looked really good. I got him a card, and talked to him about our wedding day, which he remembered everything about. I love him so much. I miss him so much. At 56, this means I’ve spent half my life with him. Actually more than that, as when I met him I was 23 and he was 35. I didn’t actually get married until I was 28.

This morning is why today was so “interesting”. Around 4 AM, I thought I heard a loud shout, and it woke me up. I laid there for awhile to see if I would hear anything else. Occasionally we have the odd drunken people arguing since there are bars close by, but nothing that’s a big deal. I drifted off to sleep again. About 8:30 AM, the local PD came knocking at my door. It was a detective asking if I heard anything at 4:15 AM. I said yeah, a little after 4 AM I heard a shout. He said there was an altercation and they were canvassing the neighborhood. I felt really bad that I went back to sleep after the shout, and stated this. He said no problem.

I looked out the window of my den, which faces the parking lot and garages of the condos, and the middle section where there is a grassy area, picnic table, and a couple of trees was all roped off with crime scene tape! I realized whatever took place was literally a few feet from my condo. I got on Facebook, and checked out the local PD Facebook page. Apparently, there was some dirtbag trying to break into cars, and another guy spotted him and confronted him. The dirtbag pulled a knife and stabbed the good guy several times before running off. Fortunately the good guy was not killed, but did wind up having surgery. I hope he’s okay.

I am on a few police scanner pages on Facebook, and I checked out the one for our local area to see what people are saying. Of course, there were the usual posts bitching about how the town I live in is going into the shitter, “low income people and neighborhoods”, etc. I was in a mood at that point and put those people on blast. I do not live in a low income neighborhood, and even if I did, so what? I cannot stand it when people paint everyone with the same broad brush. Crime happens in all kinds of neighborhoods. The neighborhood I live in is an older neighborhood, quiet, lots of retired people and families with parents who work. Every neighborhood has their lowlifes, but many of us in our neighborhood think this person came from a different area. There are people who break into cars to see if they can find anything to sell or cash to support their drug habits. I hope they catch the dirtbag who did this. I will be more vigilant. I am looking to get one of those Ring systems, and eventually a gun.

I love where I live and will be damned if I’m gonna move just because of a few dirtbags. Fuck that. I’m finally a homeowner after spending most of my life renting. I worked my ass off to find this place, and I love it. Thanks for listening to me whine and bitch.
