Kinda neat looking. Hint: It isn't the Jeffries Tube on the U.S.S. Enterprise ;->

Looks like some place is experimenting with portal energies.

Where did you find that?

Find it?  Fellow Rogue, I made that photograph. tinybiggrin

Yes, a strong sci-fi vibe to it, but I wasn't getting irradiated (at least I hope so!)  The setting is more normal than it appears.

So what mall or restaurant is it in?

A water feature?

There is a restaurant and an area to buy nick-knacks at the base of it...

i believe your correct, if you look at the second ring down from the top on the right, you can see a man standing there with another person looks like a cashier.

then on the left third ring down you see tables and chairs.

tinybiggrin

Lumenari is so warm as to be glowing!

I'll let it go until the end of the day just in case someone recognizes it.

@Snarl -- not a hotel.

First up, some more photos of this display, including ground floor shots that indicate how it was created.

As can be seen, bright lamps (well spotted @"Moonmagic" ) create the blue glow, and some kind of confetti is pushed up and comes floating back down.

. . . and the location and nature of this display.

@Lumenari was correct.  It is a shopping venue.  One that is world famous.

This was the 2016 Christmas display at KaDeWe -- the Kaufhaus des Westens in Berlin.

I still say it's a portal to another universe.   smallroflmao
@"Mystic Wanderer", darn it,  you caught me on my cock-and-bull "explanation" tinybiggrin

The first photo in the thread is a good example of how an image without full context can suggest many things.

Makes me want to start a photo thread for all to participate in -- weird effects in photos that look like UFOs.  I've had a couple come out like that without having tried to achieve that effect.

Cheers!
